I "Think" We're Going Next August!!!!!

Yay!!!!!! I might have just found a way to take a trip to WDW for my birthday and my baby's first birthday next August!!!!!

So now the question is, where should we stay?

Right now I'm planning on All Stars or Pop Century (if it opens) to be a little cost concious. However, I know if there are codes or AP rates, I will want to stretch and stay at the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge or (ideally) the Polynesian. I was also thinking of splitting our stay with a value resort and the Polynesian, especially if codes/AP rates are outstanding. We had an AP rate of $179.oo for the Polynesian in June 2001, so there's always a chance! Besides, baby will be free AND he'll get his first haircut on Main Street!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!! Let the planning begin!!!!!!!!!

I have to say though that if I were you I'd rethink staying at All Star. We stayed there when our first ds was a baby and it wasn't good. We had long walks to and from the bus stop, long walks to and from the food court, the room was so tiny we could barely get the pack n play set up, there was a lot of noise at night coming from the halls and other rooms, and we almost didn't get the fridge we ordered because they were all gone... but we told the manager we had to have it for the baby, so magically one did appear later that night.

I would suggest Port Orleans or CBR. The bus stops are closer to the buildings, shorter walk to the food court, more square footage in the room, bigger bathroom, quieter, etc.

congratulations!!! I didnt even hear you had the baby! congratulations!!!!!!!!! I havent been around much, we just moved 2 weeks ago, and I have been so incredible busy!

I think you should go for a mod with the baby. it will be nicer.

Humm, I'd probably go with either PopCentury/POFQ or the Contemporary (Wing or Tower). Save the Polynesian for 2004 (when your parents go along - you can even split that stay with the Beach Club!).

So, how is the little guy doing? How about your DH?
