I really want a double oven range, rather than one with an oven and a drawer. My dh and I want to get rid of the toaster oven on the counter.

Anyone have one of these? Likes, dislikes? Best deals on them?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I am not sure where you are from, but we have Boscovs in PA. They are a department store with great outlet sales!

We have an electric one and absolutely love it. It has a smaller size oven on top and the larger, "regular" size oven on the bottom (with the electric range on top). We mostly just use the smaller oven as it heats up so fast. We are able to cook all the holiday meals with no problems as well. We got ours at a Sears appliance outlet type store...the appliances either had scratches, dents, etc. on them, but a lot of times they are on the side where you can't see them. I don't remember what we paid for it, but I know we saved a ton buying it there. We have a Maytag and have had it for about 6 1/2 years. I think I will always have to have this style now. The thing I dislike is that it is electric, not gas, but that is how the house was set up when we moved it!

We just purchased a Jenn-Air dual fuel double oven convection range. It has a smaller oven at the top, and a larger convection oven at the bottom. The burners are gas, but the ovens are electric. I've only had it a couple weeks, so I can't give a complete review, but so far it's been really great, and it has positive reviews online. The top small oven preheats extremely quickly, the burners are oversized, and the convection is a nice feature to have (but I haven't used it yet :))

The model we purchased was being discontinued, so it was on sale, and it also offered a $200 manufacturer mail-in rebate. So, all in all, a very good deal.

Here is a Sears link to the one we got

It's out of stock at Sears online, but if you're interested, you may be able to find it somewhere else.

I could not live without gas! LOL I made my dh nuts when looking at houses. We'd see a great one with an electric range, and my dh would be quick to point out where he could install the propane tank behind the house...because he KNEW I wouldn't buy a house without gas for cooking!

The Jenn Air...do you like that with the knobs on top of the cooktop like that? I'm thinking that would take up space when I have multiple pots/pans on the stove top.

So far it hasn't been a bother with the knobs on top. There is a lot more burner surface area than my old gas range because there is no unused space in the center.
