. . . as a dining question so I'm posting it here as well as the TPAS Board.

My family and I will be in MK on one of the days in October when the park closes at 6:00 p.m. for MNSSHP (we are not attending). I would like to have an early dinner at CP that evening (say around 5:00ish), but am wondering if that's a good idea considering the additional crowds that will be entering the park for the party? Should we avoid this and maybe do lunch instead? I'm beginning to wonder if I would have trouble even getting a ressie (I call tomorrow) due to the party. Help?

I would definetely try and get a adr. I think you should not have much trouble and probably avoid the crowds by sitting back and eating a meal while everyone else leaves.

CP is a very popular restaurant, so it will probably be crowded regardless of lunch or dinner. Since you aren't going to the party, and the park closes at 6 p.m., I would aim for a ADR closer to 6 p.m. so you go on rides until closing. Then you can leave MK after dinner.

Thanks for the replies! I will be calling in the morning to try and get an AR for CP on our 2nd day in MK (as close to 6:00 p.m. as I can get). I'll let you know what happens!

We ate at CP before going to MNSSHP last year and we were one of the last families there (our PS was 5:30). When the place started to empty out all the characters gathered together in the front and we got great photos of all the kids with all the characters at once. So I think you'll love going and then when you walk out you'll see Main St all done up for the party.

That sounds really neat, lovesdumbo! I hope we can still make a ressie that late with us not going to the party. I'm just going to ask for the latest available time and see what happens. Thanks!
