I think the Virgin flights are already full for my dates next October?

I know the flights cannot be booked until 11 months out so the only way i could check flights for next October are with Virgin Holidays as a fly-drive.We will need 4 economy seats for my Brother and family and PE seats for us.There are only Upper class seats available

As this is the Virgin site and the only way to check availabilty more than 11 months out I guess this means they are definitely full does it??

I think this means that Virgin Holidays' allocation has gone - but not necessarily that the whole flight is sold out. Hopefully, you'll be able to get seats once the 11 month window opens up for Virgin Atlantic, but it may be a nail-biting wait!

We had the same thing with our flights for Easter next year - tried to get Fly-drive but only Upper class available. We ended up opting for Miami route and a change of date. The seats were available, and the icing on the cake was that we saved over £300 each !

Are you able to try different dates / routes? If so, it may be better for you than waiting and hoping to get seats with VA.

Good luck!

Why don't you try booking the flights on Expedia.co.uk We booked our flights for Florida this summer and Las Vegas las summer on there and had no problems. If you can't get the virgin flight an alternative should be available on there for you. Good luck.

Kazzie - try checking Virgin Atlantic's website and see what's available ready to try booking with someone else.

I did this for Easter next year - nothing at all on Virgin Holiday's, but there was availability PE and UC with VA direct.

Hi Kazzie  ,

We are going through exactly the same problem. We need to fly out October 16th and back October 30th 2004 and have tried so many different companies now. Virgin Holiday's allocation is totally fully booked, and like you say, most other companies won't offer seats until 11 months before hand.

We have got seats 'reserved' with Bon Voyage (they can only reserve their total allocation of 10 seats we were told) and taken all of their spaces for our group, but it isn't 100% that we will get seats at all as they may not get an allocation(??). It's all very confusing!

Like Annie and many people who have just returned have said it seems as if October is beginning to get an extremely popular time for Brit's to visit - different from that of the previous years.

Good luck!

Richard :)

Richard,
Bon Voyage will try to get the seats I want for October 14th,but there is no guarantee:( The travel consultant alreday has 15 seats boked to nab from the allocation for that day. When you think that one travel agent in one agency alaone wants 24 seats it makes you realise how hard it is to get seats for these days if you haven't done it much earlier as a Virgin fly-drive:confused:

The trouble with booking directly with VA is their prices are prohibitive:mad:

I totally agree. Let's keep our fingers crossed we all get what we need :)

Richard.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I'm keeping everything crossed;) And for you too Richard:cool:

Having recently got back , personally I will not be using vIrgin again, but that's another story! Anyway, DH was chatting to the cabin crew & she was saying that certainly this year, all flights from Oct to end Nov are fully booked, and certainly the flights I was on both to & from bore this out. Admittedly I travelled on a Saturday, however they run 3 flights that day!
