I think the snow has made me gain 5 lbs!!

Ughh!! Last weekend they called for snow. So I bought everyone's favorite munchies, etc, in case the kids were off on Monday and Tues. They've been off every day this week.

I've made 3 trips to Food Lion, and it's snowing really hard here again!! The snow is really getting on my nerves, making me eat too much. Kind of like the drinking game for CSI Miami: when Caine takes off his sunglasses, everyone takes a drink. Everytime I look out the window, I pick up a Frito, or cookie, and eat. How do folks up North stay thin?

Ugghhhh....I soooo know what you mean! We have done NOTHING for the past week but eat...and watch movies. We've gone through 2 canisters of hot chocolate and 4 tubs of whip cream

Oh and I grew up in Massachusetts and remember always gaining 10lbs every winter....it's insulation!!

With the snowfall predictions, I decided I'd better have some things to eat if the power goes out and I can't cook. So I made a cake. I'm sure there are better things I could have made, but hey, I like cake.

You get used to it and don't change your eating or exercise habits - I'm out there in the cold and snow doing my power walks almost every day; just have to watch out for ice. Plus, remember, we don't often get stuck since we have the equipment to get the snow out of here quickly. Pick up some fruit instead - more filling and better for you.
