I've decided to look into ebaying...but the ebay thread is much to long to try to get any information from...very overwhelming for a beginner such as me.

Is there any way to start it over maybe with important faq's already discussed at the beginning of the new thread....

Thanks to anybody who could help with this...

PS i thought most threads had to be closed at 150 pages...this one is nearly 364 pages...

We are discussing what to do about the eBay thread as we speak (or as we type ;) ).

If you have an idea for that thread, it would be very helpful to e-mail the webmasters at admin@wdwinfo.com .

Hopefully we can resolve this issue soon...

:)

Pete wanted new board suggestions maybe this would be a prime candidate

It's really very simple. Determine what you'd like to put up for auction, do a search of your item to see what they are being put up for bid for, that way you can stay competitive or if you can't find anything like your item, that's fine...just set your price, sit back and see what happens with it. Registering is very easy, as is putting your item up for bid...it walks you thru every step. If you go to their website, they'll tell you how. You have decide first also which methods of payment you'll accept. I personally only accept money orders or checks (hold item until check clears). There is a listing fee that you pay, but it's very minimal and a final value fee of what the item sold for. These monies are taken directly out of your account that you signed up with (checking). Don't be afraid or intimidated....look around the site, see how others are wording their descriptions, payment methods, etc. Have fun! (sorry, my enter button is not working)

All good advice. I just wanted to add that if you haven't bought anything on Ebay that's a good way to start getting positive feedback. Feedback is really important when you sell. The good kind of course ;) . I was a buyer for several months before I even thought of selling things. I always sent out payments promptly and had some good feedback by the time I entered the selling market. Now, some 5+ years later, my feedback is over 500.

Ebay is a lot of work but, for the most part, it's worth it.

Roberta - more good advice - I didn't think to mention that...I bought only for a while too to build positive feedback, very important indeed.
