Don't quote me and nobody told me, not even the bus drivers or boat driver, but I believe the 200 loop will open today. I rode through there this morning and they were doing the finishing cleanup. There were alot of sites that had been dug-up because there was fresh sand everywhere. They were regrading them with large equipment and leveling everything. The workers were laying sod around the sites that were affected and CM's were blowing off the sites to clear off the sand.

There were actually 2 MH's that had been there for awhile that appeared to have not had to move.

Let's hope that it will open up. The 300 loop is still only about 2/3 full so there are alot of empty sites there also. However, the fort is filling up fast with the weekend upon us.

It sound like you're right.

Be sure to come back on and let us know.

We called the front desk this morning as we had requested this loop. They said yes it will open today but to call back tomorrow to make sure.

TCD, I'll have to pass that baton on to someone else to report. We left the Fort this morning for 2 weeks but we'll be back after the holiday rush is over. I just can't justify the high rates that are charged for the holiday period. Going to check out the Gulf until our return.

I had to go to the Front Desk this morning because they never left a bill for us on our vehicle. I asked if the 200 loop was going to open today and the CM said "Oh, is it closed? I didn't know that." Oh well, I tried.

Good for you. It is outrageous how the rates double during the holidays. But Disney is a business, and plenty of folks are more than willing to pay double, as will be evidenced by the full campground for the next two weeks, so I can't blame Disney. That doesn't mean that I have to like it.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the Florida Gulf Coast! That's where I live, and I love it!

Classic!

Thanks for trying!

Seeing as this post came from you, DisCamper, I don't know if you are joking around or not.

Was there really sewage standing on the street or sites on the 200 loop? :scared1:

p.s. are you at the Fort, or is this information from one of your sources?

Funny, but we were there for 9 days from Dec. 4 and we didn't see anything wrong in 200. We were in 300 and walked through 100 & 200 every day.

We noticed all the sand being brought in, and the graders smoothing it all out, but didn't know why it was being done, we *assumed* it was drainage purposes..... anyone know for sure??
