I think I've got this figured out (REAS)!

I'm leaning toward booking the REAS package and surprising my husband! ;) I think I got a grip on all this...someone tell me if I'm totally lost!

From what I see there are three different rotations: APL, PLA and LAP, right?? I would like Lumiere's on our formal night, so that would mean requesting the PLA rotation since Sunday is formal night on the Magic eastern. (Am I right so far?)

Now..also from what I undertand, the character breakfast is the sea day after your first Animator's dinner, right? So that would mean our character breakfast is Thursday(?) So then I'd plan the REAS breakfast for Sun or Monday morning. And I think I'd like the spa on Monday afternoon. whew!

Now for Palo ressies...from looking at the menus, I think we can skip the Around the World on Wednesday night -- get the kids dinner from room service and then take them to the clubs while we eat at Palo.

wow!! I think I've got it figured out!!! How'd I do??

My next question...can I book REAS myself by calling Debbie at the 800# or do I have to go through my TA? Seems to be that some people here have done it both ways.

I want to thank Monique again for sharing all her info on this package!!!

I think your only error is the character breakfast, which is the morning after your first visit to Animator's Palate, not the first at-sea day following.

We did just about everything you mentioned, PLA, spa on Mon., yes character breakfast was Thurs. and we did the champagne breakfast Fri. Palo brunch on Sun. was awesome, perfect way to start the trip, and dinner on Tues. (fun night in the kids club and we didn't mind missing the tropical night (we actually sat w our kids at dinner and didn't feel we were missing anything.) Weds. would've been an o.k. night to miss too. Hope that helps.

That is like one of those story problems in math.. The only way Sally goes is if Jane goes & the only way Jane goes is if Mary goes, so who do you invite??? Don't try to come up with a real answer, it was only an example!!!

My brain hurts just from reading that, let alone trying to figure out if it is right :D

LOL!! How do you think I feel trying to figure all of that out in the first place!!! Too funny!!

Thanks, 62Travel...I think the champagne breakfast may be better on Friday, kind of a nice way to end the week. I hadn't thought of that!! :)

And was I right about the character breakfast being the first sea day after Animators? I think I'm ready to book the REAS now!!

Yes, I'm sure that it is the first at sea day after the first visit to AP, not just the next day. just looked at our old navigators and that's how it is in them.

When you book this pkg. you get to request a dining rotation? Or are you making assumptions based on your party ( like if you have kids, etc.)?

I am considering booking this pkg. but we are travelling with 2 other staterooms and if we get to make a rotation request will they be able to have our same rotation. Our reservations are all linked. I hope my question make sense.

You get to request a dining rotation..I don't think they can guarantee it, but you most likely will get it (from what I've read here of those who have done it).

OK - Now that you figured it out for the Eastern - Do you want to figure the schedule out for the Western (So I don't have to!)

I was confused just reading it - But it sounds like you figured it out - Now the western......

Wow, thanks for figuring this out. I'm going to copy and paste to my "list" of things to remember.

Oh my...you want me to completely lose my mind, don't ya?!!! LOL!!

Just remember that there is a difference between booking the package and making the reservation for the components in the package. From my experience the TA books the package and then you can make the reservation with Debbie directly. It is a two step process.

To help me figure out what I wanted when I made a poster. I put seven columns on it for each day. I wrote each event that I wanted including dinner on little pieces of paper so I could try out different variations. Then when I got it where I wanted it, I taped it down. My husband laughed but I also think he was impressed.

I came up with an Excel spreadsheet with a matrix on it to help with the REAS pkg. I would like to share it with other DISer's but I am a CPA, not a Techy, so I am not sure how to do it other than emailing people. Any suggestion on how I can share it with everyone?

Hey scottygirl- I'd like to see your spread sheet! I think I already know what we will do, but I like to see other ideas!!

Nysie,

I would love to share it. I can email it as an attachment. PM me if you are interested. I would still like some suggestions on other ways to share it with other DISer's. Anybody out there have any ideas?

The only way I know of is if it's uploaded to a website and then you can put the link here.

Maybe someone with an existing website like Verandahman might be interested in having it on his site? Any takers?
