i think i've got appendicitis

i've been feeling quite rough today, i think i've appendicitis. i've had a grumbling appendix for about 5 months now, some pain most days but today i've felt very sick and the pain is definatley worse although not unbearable yet! also have a bit of a temperature any one here had it? would i need to get antibiotics or do i just wait and see what happens?

I'm not sure anti biotics will do anything you probably need to see a doctor

You need to see a doctor - I was in hospital in August for suspected append...
and they can not be treated by antibiotics. If they are already grumbling and you are running a temp and feeling sick it sounds like that is what you have

Having said that I had all those symtoms and only by getting a scan they found out that I had an ovarian cyst and didn't need operated on

Get to A&E these things can get worse very quickly and if if perferates it can cause so many problems with the poison going to other organs.

you need to go to casulaty, my nephew had a grumbling one and then one day started being sick, went to casualty, they took it out that afternoon as they cant really be fixed

thanks for all the info i went to doc first thing this morning and he thinks i'm ok yet, just keep an eye on things and if things get any worse i have to go to a&e. i do feel better today , temp is down a bit and not as sore. so maybe it's still grumbling

i went into hossie 4 years ago with a pain in my side ,was told it was my appendix and they would have to operate

i was left for 3 days lying in agony in hossie , until they operated by which time my appendix had burst , then while they were doing the op, they preforated my bowel and on top of that i took the mrsa bug

4 years later and im off on sick due to the botch up , i keep paraslying down my right side , and have adhesions

That is so awful we really are in their hands. You must feel very angry about this, but I hope you can still enjoy the better things in your life
