finally got my 70-200 f4 and thought i'd try it on my backyard birdfeeder from inside with the window shut( and a winter's worth of grim) handheld( no small feat for me). at 200mm f8,1/1600
original and crop

i didn't mess around with the photos much cause i wanted to see how they would look but converted from raw,neutral setting, as shot wb
might have to visit the zoo tomorrow..... and guess i'll be saving up those pennies for a while before i buy my next lens...

Congratulations on your first "L" lens (because there is no such thing as your only L lens. Once you have seen quality, its hard to settle for anything less).

definitely making me rethink my next purchase cause my 28-135 (even if they fix it right) is going to be disappointing i'm afraid

Congrats! I know just how you feel, When I got my 24-105L, I kept saying "wow" every time I looked at one of my pictures. The difference in quality is amazing. Now I have to work more on composition...
