I think I'm going to book a Cabin!!!

I'm a self-proclaimed Delux Resort Snob when it comes to WDW . I have basically ONLY stayed in the Deluxes and I currently have a booking for the AKL from 12/4 - 12/9....BUT, My dd, 6, just saw the pictures of the Cabins on the interent and she's begging to stay there!
I know I MUST rent a golf cart and we'll have our own van there to get to the other parks. So....do I take the PLUNGE and do it??? I heard it's really neat there around Christmastime! Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Like...the most convenient loop?? 2500??

Christmas there is great! Tons of people decorate their cabins and campsites, and I've even seen people wandering around caroling

As for a golf cart, they make things easier but arent necessary. Some people just hate waiting on the internal busses tho.

I've also seen a lot of people pre-order trees and stockings with presents and have them delivered to be set up before they check-in. The CMs there are usually great about helping with that, and some of the towel art the Mousekeepers make is amazing!

If you are going to have a golf cart (and your child will love it!) then don't worry about the most convenient loop because you'll be riding around everywhere on the golf cart.

Be sure to cruise through the loops looking at all the campers' decorations--really tons and tons of them!

I can't get my kids to stay anywhere but a cabin!!! We have tried a value, moderate and a deluxe a few times. Even OKW... The cabins win out. We've stayed there probably 11 times or more??
I'm going down with just hubby and staying at AKL~ I finally get to stay somewhere besides the cabin in 6 years. Not that I don't like the cabins... I LOVE them and Ft. Wilderness is now our Home away from home PERIOD.

I've stayed at many loops, our fav is 2500 in the back. Small loop, near the laundry and pool and bus stop. You don't have to rent a golf cart the entire trip. That can get expensive.... we normally rent one the days we're off from the parks.
