I first found this site back in March when I booked our tickets to the U.S, and we decided it would be a great idea to take our kids to Disneyland. Mostly I came on everyday and just read the threads, and made notes, and wondered if September would ever come. By the time we left on the trip, I was well armed with all the info I had learnt from you wonderful people. My husband was very impressed with my knowledge and all the cool things I was able to plan for our family. And he now has a great appreciation for my "handy dandy notebook":)
Now we've been home for 2 days, and I find myself back here, just incase I miss something. I'm not even over the jetlag and I want to plan another trip.
Anyway, thanks for all the helpful tips and tricks, our visit to Disneyland exceeded our expectations and was truly magical for our kids, I have about 1000 pictures to prove it.;)

Hi Kelly, I think I am addicted too. Found this site about 3 weeks ago and spend about an hour reading every evening. We are going to DL in May 2009.

lol, yeah my trip was in March, but I'm still here and I don't have any plans for another trip in the forseeable future... Unfortunately... :headache:

I'm right there with ya! My trip was back in July and I still like to hop on the Dis every day and see what's new and look at the picture of the day thread. At least it's a wholesome addiction of sorts! If an addiction can be viewed as wholesome...:rotfl:

lol... so my mom and I are both addicted as well..:rotfl2: .. everyday she will call me to ask if I have read the newest thread.. We just get so much information that helps out on our upcoming trip  . Thank you everyone! :thumbsup2

It is so easy to become addicted to this board!:rotfl: You might start out as just a lurker, but soon you find yourself posting and before you know it, you are on here all the time:laughing:

This site is brilliant!!!! Its easy to become addicted to this site. So much knowledge you gain here by great people! This site is definately #1 in my bookmarks. When you actually go to the park, and come back and have your own first hand knowledge, you get even that much more addicted because your SOOOO excited to share your knowledge. You tend to come back onto this site all the time to learn the updates so you can figure out how to make your next trip that much more magical. Then when you do start planning another trip back, its fun to have so many people that you can squeak in excitement with as they are going too.

I am so addicted that I catch myself on this site even at work!!! Yay for feeding our addictions!~! LOL

....and planning 5 or 6 more trips to DLR in the process - with APs and hotel stays and the whole nine yards! You can't help but get inspired to go back to DLR when on this board!!! I secretly think that DISboards has borrowed some of that magical chemical that DLR pumps into their air to make us want to come back there often, and sprinkled it around on this site, so we cannot stay away even if we want to!

And if you don't have another trip planned, this board fills in the gaps between trips, and you can live vicariously through other people's trips!!!

Its funny I even catch myself at Disneyland talking about things I have heard on Disboards :rotfl: Lets eat this... cause someone said it was delcious, OR Oh my Disboards are right the beds are hard, OR Oh Disboards is so correct in saying get to the park at least an hour early for Magic Morning to get a decent spot in line, OR... WOAH no kiddin weekends are busy! :lmao:

Oh, I just so know that this will be me!:lmao: I do this already. I don't imagine it suddenly becoming different just because I am ACTUALLY there!:rotfl:

Hee hee. I also kept referencing DISboards on my recent DLR trip. I know my friends were sick of it! I was explaining about the Great PhotoPass Share Debate, the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay- Yay or Nay Debate, the Park Hopper Selling Debate, the Birthday Button Debate, the expired Fast Pass Debate, etc....Then I had to explain what my LGMH was and where it came from. And I made sure to inform them that I made all the PS's we used for dining and used PhotoPass based on what I had read on DISboards, not to mention that I learned everything I know about what the perks of an AP are from DIS! At one point, I was taking a photo of a bathroom sign in A Bug's Land, and my friend said with a smirk, "Is that for the Disney message board?" I said, "Well, maybe. Maybe I will post it there eventually, and maybe I will just keep it!" Many of my sentences were prefaced with, "I read on my Disney message board that....":rotfl:

But, my friends should be glad I DID spend so much time here on the boards. It made for a more organized, better-structured trip that made better use of our time than in past trips!

You know you are a true DIS addict when you can't even talk about Disney (or in many people's cases visit the Land or World)without making reference to the DIS boards!:rotfl:

Maybe instead of it saying DIS Veteran above our avatar's it should say DIS Addict! :lmao:

LOL I think we can all relate.... :lmao: It doesnt get any easier on the next few trip either ;) You still talk about Dis. Oh and you cant forget about talking about crowds and the low and high times to visit the park, and if there are events coming up that might draw in a different crowd.

Yep, I have already told my friends that IF we end up going back to DLR on the weekend she wants to, 12/26-12/29 - which is a big IF - that will probably be the busiest weekend of the year, so says the DISboards!!!

DIS addict it should be (in the avatar)!!!

:scared: LOL Im sweatin just thinking about how busy that weekend would be. Fun but busy!!!!!

Addicted...oh yes, I am definitely addicted. Where else would I be able to get so many great suggestions, feedback on food/hotels and where else would I be easily accepted with this addiction? LOL Seriously, I love this board and everyone who posts here is just awesome!! This is the only public board I actually go to regulary, the other ones all have members who just want to fight. lol

It is definitely addictive when you sign on during your lunch break from work (like I am right now)! But I do get so much great information about DLR and it helps so much with our upcoming trip!

Ditto from me, totally glued to this site. I sit here for hours looking at the photos, reading total strangers trip reports and coming away feeling like I somehow know them, learning all kinds of amazing tips....

Without this board I wouldn't know half the things I do about DL and would probably make a real hash of my short trip there. Now I have a good plan, some things to def. do, and some to avoid.

Thanks guys

Oh - and am worrying myself, I am thinking of trying to plan a SoCal trip for a few years time, dying to go to Sea World, and Lego Land, and more time at DL......gah!!!!:rotfl:

I knew that I was addicted when I would start to talk about Disneyland and would refer to it as "DL" in the conversation or when I started to think of my husband as my "DH". :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
