This is hilarious! (sort of)

Yesterday was our parent/teacher conference at school and my DM attended.
We have had a tough year at school because, we've lost 3 or our teachers this year and we have to take LEAP next week....anyway,....

My Mom went to get my report card yesterday and, she met our new social studies teacher. She said hello and who she was and the lady just looked at her. I was out in the car at the time. We've had this lady as a teacher for about, 14 weeks.....I believe. :scratchin:

My Mom asked how I was doing in class and how were my grades and everything....But, my teacher could not remember who I was. My Mom described me to her to remind her but, she didn't remember me at all.

(I'm really shy and super-quiet at school but I never thought I was invisible!)

Can't you just feel the love? lol ;)

When we told my homeroom teacher today, she just laughed and said that I am really quiet and she is an older lady so, she probably just doesn't see or hear me, ever.

I think it's funny because, I always try and keep quiet but I never thought I was being too quiet! lol :teeth:

I think I should wear my Mickey Ears to school.......to catch her attention. lol pirate:

So, to all you parents out there, has anything happened to you similar to this or etc.? :sunny:

Mickey ears? Heck, I think this warrants a full Princess outfit, including tiara. Bet she notices you then! princess: :tink:

No this has never been a problem for my boys. They were always quite recognizable. In other words, big mouths! I say go for the "ears"! Teach her not to know who you are! :thumbsup2

:sunny: Sounds good to me! I could also just go ahead and bring Mickey and his gang with me (including the whole outfit, tiara, and Mickey Ears) That should do it, lol.

I can see the commercials now...."Sarah, you've just been overlooked by one of your teachers that could be a major element in whether you pass or fail.....what are you going to do now???"

"I'm going to Disney World!!!!!"

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

lol :rotfl: Thanks y'all!

A few years ago we moved to a new school in the same district and I really missed the old teachers and such (yes I am the mother...lol). I didn't and still don't have a great feeling about the school. NOTHING bad at all, just that the teachers in school A were incredible people who still keep in contact with my children after 3 years and school B they were...I guess I could say...less warm and fuzzy with the kids. Anyway, I went to open house in March after my son had been there for 7 months and his teacher was passing out papers and mispronounced his last name. I asked DS why he never corrected her and he said it didn't matter. But it sure mattered to me...lol.

I think you should tell the teacher you've been in her class for months now, she's spoken with your mother, introduce yourself by name, and then take a picture of her face and post it here!

Yeah, I've had a lot of teachers misspell my name on things like certificates, and things like that.
We have a girl in our class named Tamarlan and you can just imagine the things we hear when we have a substitute;

She pronounces it like Tam-Er-Len but when we have people who don't know that, they usually say stuff like Tomorrowlan - I don't know about y'all but that is almost like a hidden Mickey to me! Mickey is sending small messages for me to come home! lol :rotfl:

I think its gonna take more than Mickey Ears to get her attention.

I was always shy and quiet, but that is what my teachers always remembered and liked about me.

:rotfl2: the same thing happened to me when I was in the 7th grade my mom went to talk to the social studies teacher--Mr. Spires.....and he didn't have a clue who I was and why my mom was concerned I was getting a D.....he was known for looking down/up girls clothes..... :confused3 :rolleyes1
