Hello all! I have a question. We are sailing in Dec. and I am trying to surprise DH with a REAS. My question is, when I book with Palo's what is the best night? I don't really want to anything but my DH really did not care for Parrot Cay last time. When do I know for sure the dining rotation? Here is what I have found.
Dining Rotation: Western
Night Port Menu Dress code
sat ----Port Canaveral ---- Rotation---- Casual
sun---- Key West ------ Rotation------- Casual
mon ----Day at Sea ----Rotation ------Formal
tue -----Grand Cayman ----Around the World ----Casual
wed -----Cozumel -----Pirates of the Caribbean ----Tropical
thu ------Day at Sea ----Captain's Gala -----Semi-Formal
fri -------Castaway Cay ----Best of Master Chef -----Casual

To me that would mean that Sat and Sun we would be at Animators Palate or Parrot Cay. IS that right? If so, when will I know for sure? Our problem is we don't want to have to leave the Keys early for dinner. We love Key West (probably a little too much). Am I better off just doing Palo's Brunch? Is that better then the dinner? Can I still do the REAS but make Palo's brunch instead of dinner??? I am probably thinking WAY too much. I just like to know ahead of time.

Hope you all can help me!
Thanks
Tami

You will know your dining rotation when you get your KTTW card. You can request a dining rotation, but it is not guaranteed.

We decided to do Palo on Pirates Night. We didn't want to miss the first three nights and this night sounded like the best for us.

You will not know your rotation until boarding so it's your best judgement. We requested a rotation but of course that isn't guaranteed. Several people I have talked to said that when they requested one they got it. But don't be disappointed if it's not what you want.

Take my advice and do Palo Brunch before you arrive in Key West! It is just wonderful. The water changes colour on the approach to the harbour, and the views are marvellous. Dinners are also great in Palo.......but ITS DARK! No views!

The CMs will all tell you that Palo Brunch is the best, and generally not busy on Key West day. Also, dinner on your first night(should you wish to dine in there one evening) could be taken in Palo, as it is rarely full and easy to get a reservation. Whatever you do, do NOT miss dining there.Enjoy. Nat :flower:

I wanted to add as far as I know you can't switch brunch for dinner in the REAS package. I think people tried and they couldn't do it.

I am wondering the same thing. I have heard that the 4th night is a good one for Palo. Does anyone know the show schedule for the Western Caribbean? I was thinking I should also take that into consideration when picking times to eat at Palo.

When we cruised last June we had no problems switching brunch for dinner. I am a picky eater and have many food allergies and the dinner menu at Palo held no appeal for me, so we just did a brunch. We were not charged for our brunch at Palo, just left a nice tip for Becky, our wonderful server.
