Yeah I have to agree, that was the 1st thing I noticed too. And the next thing I thought was "Um wow, can we say FAKE!" How you gonna wear that at Disney of all places! Disney doesn't have a Hooters anywhere around!
Me too!!!
Oh and "Um wow, can we say FAKE!"![]()
Annmarieda: Yes, Max and Heidi are 10 years apart. Almost 10 1/2. My oldest is 22 now. So there is 14 years between Lily and Heidi. Do you have just 2 children or more? I like the big age gap, its a whole different experience the 2nd time around. The oldest 2 definitely didn't get all those Disney trips. Heidi's been 8 times in the last 5 years. Back when we were younger, we couldn't have afforded so many Disney vacations.![]()
Yup, have 4 kids total. 20, 17, 15 and 5. I hear ya on the earlier years. We didn't go to Disney for the first time until our 20 year old was 10.
Our first trip to Disney as a family was on the thinnest shoestring there was. We drove all the way straight through the night from Houston to Orlando. Way further than it is from here in VA to Orlando. This was in 1990 when our 22 year old was almost 2. We stayed with my friend Eddie the Ft. Wilderness cast member. Eddie is still at Ft. Wilderness by the way. Eddie got us the daily park hopper passes that cast members could get for their family and friends. Lily didn't need a ticket because she was under 3. The only money we spent was on gas for our Ford Escort and money for quick service food. I'm not even sure I was aware that Disney had table service. I probably considered it too out of budget to ponder.
After that we didn't go for another 10 years, when Lily was 12 and Max 8. After that it was 5 years. It wasn't until 2007 when I bought into DVC that we could go more often. By then we'd been married for 21 years!
Check out my trip report. I start out with an introduction and our Disney history in the beginning. I hope it isn't too boring.![]()

Yay! A new update! I love that shadow pic of the family. Why didn't you go back and get fastpasses after you passed it?
