Oddly enough, sometimes the only way to tame Cam's bedhead is WITH Mr. Fan!

In review: Just got to check-in desk, had a less-than-magical CM "welcome" us there, and we are off to the gift shop! The first thing I say to Mike is "don't pay cash, we have a gift card.... ummm.... UHHHH.... !!!!!... She didn't give us the gift card?!? ok, so we walk around the corner to talk to someone else about the serious lack of a $750 gift card, and WOW this CM was amazing, THIS is the experience I'd been hoping for. Guess who got an appreciation pin card! So we headed back to the gift shop and met Miss Nancy and Miss Judy those ladies! Then it was like 8:25AM so we needed to book it! (although I obviously knew we'd miss rope drop at Epcot at this point, it's ok. We each rubbed Humphrey's nose for good luck and to start our vacation.

Then went toward Roaring Forks to find a bathroom

Cam's first experience with an auto-flush... we were here a while.

Then I said "Hey! we forgot to check out the bridge!"

We headed back out the door toward the boat dock. A nice lady on the boat took our first Disney Family Photo

Cam kinda fell in love with our boat CM (who had the same name as daddy!)

We actually DID see rope drop... the wrong one, but HEY it was indeed a rope drop- Magic Kingdom! we needed to get on the monorail to TTC then switch to the Epcot monorail. So why then are we in the BAG CHECK at MK? I have no idea. but we did. then walked right back out. The weird looks from people started at this very moment...

CAM'S FIRST MONORAIL!!

Mike and I later got into a HUGE disagreement because HE said we rode the TRONorail, and I said "nuht uh, I have photo evidence that we rode the blue monorail!" About three hours into this fight, Mike says "you know it took TWO monorails to get us here, right?" Um. Oops. Ok Mike, get ready... "I was wrong." that never happens! So anyway... We made it to Epcot, through bag check AGAIN and flew by the photopass photogs to get Cam to the restroom, we "pretended" the grand entrance about 20 minutes later.

STAY TUNED FOR Our Epcot Entrance in next update (probably tomorrow) I start working again tomorrow, so I'm off to bed. Night all!

The bad cm... there always has to be one, doesn't there? On our last trip it was at check in too. You would think that this would be the last place that there should be one.

I'm sorry you had a not-so-magical CM to start your Disney stay! I know everyone has a bad day, but when you're at Disney you expect better! Seems like the CM's you encountered after that one were great!

Your DD is so cute!! She looks so much like her daddy - you make a beautiful family I'm anxious to hear what your room is like and the view. A co-worker & his family rented points at VWL and weren't too happy with their room location because it was on the Villas side. Other than that, they loved the hotel!

I love her hair too! everyday I only had to put water on it and it was perfect. as you all are about to find out, where MY hair is concerned, after I give up on the hair dryer, it's a very scary story!

You will love the Lodge! it's totally amazing- you walk around looking up with your mouth hanging open.

So we had just arrived at Epcot via monorail, flew by the photopass guys and headed for the ladies room, well... now that I think about it, it was the men's room- Mike changed her while I battled putting the bags (yes THREE bags) back in order after bag check #2. After Cam was all set, we "swam against the current" in the sea of people coming through the Epcot entrance and found our first photopass guy of the trip! He took some of my favorite photos (unfortunately, you all might have to wait until Wednesday to see them because I did express shipping, but even that takes 2-3 business days). I have ONE pic at the entrance that Mike took of me doing the typical ridiculous pose, which I swore I'd never show anyone because I look HORRIBLE, but here it is anyway, we're all family on the DIS!

after our pics were taken, we headed to Guest Relations to upgrade our 10 Day Park Hoppers to Florida Resident annual passes- there was only a $88 difference for each of us, and we used our WL gift card, YAY! Cam had a great time in guest relations, hiding behind a screen, and talking with our CM Tom (she gave him an appreciation pin card -from now on I'm abbreviating APC) -and he gave her a balloon that he made into a "fishing pole." She carried that thing while she was in her stroller ALL DAY!

We traveled (not too far away) to take Cam on HER FIRST WDW RIDE EVER!!! Anyone want to guess what it was?

Yup. Nemo. Afterward, she "schooled" some boys on the types of fish and she kept turning from the boys on her right to the mom and son on her left screaming "BLOW FISH!"

She loved that fish!

I forgot to tell you that right before we took Cam on Nemo, we fastpassed Soarin, and we could return at 11:00AM. It was about 11:10 by now, but our tummies were grumbling! We really had our hearts set on some "different" food for lunch, so it was off to the world showcase!

This is where we decided to stop for lunch.

and this was Cameran's condition when we got there:

I ordered her a kid's lunch anyway- I figured we could always box it and take it with us. We ordered one adult Lamb platter to share (because I wasn't too sure I'd like this food...) Here what our food looked like [I plan on doing dining reviews in that thread later]

I think these pics tell you EXACTLY what Mike thought of his baklava (let me help... he didn't like it at all)

Cameran eventually woke up but didn't feel like eating, so this most amazing Moroccan CM named Reda (like the color, with an "uh" at the end) got out a box, then DOUBLED the quantity of her fries and chicken! YUP, HE got a APC!

After lunch, we headed to Journey into your Imagination (I just call it the Figment ride).

She never really figured out what was making the sound floor work!

I thought it was funny that the whole time we were on our trip, planes kept writing things in the sky, but we were always in such a rush that I always just saw part of the words. This was my first example...

next, we went back to the Land to ride Soarin. Remember when I told you we fastpassed it? well... we got ONE fastpass, and Mike asked for a rider switch pass when he got on, so I rode next, not needing my own fastpass. Cool- my plan worked!

Soarin was amazing, but literally seconds after I got off, I was nagging Mike for a pearl, so we looked at our phones for the time... 2:50. Can we make it from Soarin to Japan, pick-a-pearl, and to Canada for our 4PM LeCellier ADR? We'll see... Oh and has it rained yet? This is Florida right?
