Took us over an hour to take all of our pins down for our move...Plus, now, to box up all the special collectables.....Thats gonna take more time then packing everything else!! So, I hear ya!! But, its never enough!

Hey Nat!

Welcome to the South ya'll! Now you'll have to learn to talk southern!

When we moved last, way back when, the movers put B/R boxes in the bedrooms, kitchen boxes in the kitchen, and Disney boxes in the garage. Ever seen a two car garage with a narrow trail between the boxes???

I still have nine boxes left (just went out and counted them) out there!

We moved from the south, to the south, so I already knew how to talk southern. Now.... I'm learning to talk Spanish!

At least now Disney is just a "day trip"!

Oh yeah, don't forget to change your location in your ID...

Nat,
That is the one thing I am dreading about moving someday. I just don't think I will get a house big enough for all my Mickey stuff. I have 127 snowglobes, way more pins than I should have and so much other stuff, none of which I want to really part with (although if I could sell some pins I would)
Hope the house you are moving to is as big as the one you had. My problem is I want to downsize from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom in Fl so I know I won't have the room to keep it all.
Waiting for photos of the new yard though, spring is almost here, time to start your planting and landscaping.

Hi everyone. Count me in the "I had no idea..." category. I am building my first ever house and have started going through the stuff accumulated in 20 years in my little apartment. Lots and lots...and lots of Disney. Thank goodness the pins are in albums or have been placed in framed sets. Thank goodness I kept all those snowglobe boxes too!

Happy moving, Nat. My big change will be sometime in May.

The downside is I had to give up the Magic's Baltic Cruise in order to pay the downpayment on the house as well as not go to Disney World for awhile (ugh). On the upside, I still plan to sail on the Dream next spring and will have LOTS MORE ROOM for my Disney stuff after the move!

Actually you sound pretty normal to me. I am sure if I were to move the majority of the truck would be our Disney Collection.

Enjoy it.;)

We will be moving cross country in August and I am not looking forward to all the packing and worrying that my stuff will get thre in one piece. I have collected a whole lot of Disney stuff in the last 6 yrs we have been living here. Mostly Jim Shore figurines and pins. The pins I plan on taking out their cases and bringing with us, the figurines are too big and numerous so they have to go with the movers:scared1:I am just going to take really good inventory photos and hope for the best.

I thought packing would be the hard part... Now unpacking is an issue... Where the heck do you put it all????

Start packing now, it takes a lot longer then you think, especially the collectibles.

Hey Nat, any chance the new house is bigger? ...and has a bigger backyard? ;)

I know what you mean!!! We are currently building a new house and living in an apartment until it's finished. I have an air controlled storage unit that is all Disney collectibles and 2 rooms of our apartment our wall to ceiling stacked with Disney collectibles in the boxes. I just keep reminding myself the boxes take up more room than the actual collectibles will LOL :rotfl2:

I definitely know about moving the Disney Stuff. You just don't want to have to do it again for a while. Can't wait to visit and see your stuff in a new place and it will be a much shorter trip this time!
