I think part of the problem is, too many people get caught up in going for the attractions instead of just "being there".
Overall, people (in this country in general) need to learn to relax. The US is the fastest paced country in the world and people have forgotten to relax. The average American thinks relaxation is going to a destination and just going going going there as well.
I go to WDW alot and I've fallen victim to this feeling. We used to plan plan plan and get there and go go go.
However, if you want to have fun, try this:
Try going to the MK, shopping in the stores for an hour. Stay on Main St for an hour. Go to a nice shady spot with a view of the castle, grab a bench and sit and just talk for a while. Just relax. Go to Epcot and go over towards Mission Space, lay on the grass for a while, just relax, you can even take a nap. Go by the pool during the middle of the day. Just relax. Get on the monorail and just ride for an hour and talk. Get off of the monorail at the Contemporary, go in the store down there for a while, and then leisurely walk to the MK from there. When at MGM, and you're done, leisurely walk to the Boardwalk and hang out there for a while (same if at Epcot).
The thing is, too many people dont know how to enjoy WDW. They simply want to get everything done and then they're bored. Now, there's trips where my wife and I go for 4-5 days (we go alot too!) and we wont even do splash, space or Big Thunder. We just TAKE IT EEEEAAAASSSSSYYYYY.
I PROMISE, if you do that, you'll discover a WHOLE NEW side of WDW that you just never knew.
