I think I might actually be all "DISed Out"

I think part of the problem is, too many people get caught up in going for the attractions instead of just "being there".

Overall, people (in this country in general) need to learn to relax. The US is the fastest paced country in the world and people have forgotten to relax. The average American thinks relaxation is going to a destination and just going going going there as well.

I go to WDW alot and I've fallen victim to this feeling. We used to plan plan plan and get there and go go go.

However, if you want to have fun, try this:

Try going to the MK, shopping in the stores for an hour. Stay on Main St for an hour. Go to a nice shady spot with a view of the castle, grab a bench and sit and just talk for a while. Just relax. Go to Epcot and go over towards Mission Space, lay on the grass for a while, just relax, you can even take a nap. Go by the pool during the middle of the day. Just relax. Get on the monorail and just ride for an hour and talk. Get off of the monorail at the Contemporary, go in the store down there for a while, and then leisurely walk to the MK from there. When at MGM, and you're done, leisurely walk to the Boardwalk and hang out there for a while (same if at Epcot).

The thing is, too many people dont know how to enjoy WDW. They simply want to get everything done and then they're bored. Now, there's trips where my wife and I go for 4-5 days (we go alot too!) and we wont even do splash, space or Big Thunder. We just TAKE IT EEEEAAAASSSSSYYYYY.

I PROMISE, if you do that, you'll discover a WHOLE NEW side of WDW that you just never knew.

:grouphug: I know how you feel.. I've been through that where I felt that the "magic" seem to be fading, like it's not exciting anymore. I have over done it at one time. 4x at WDW and 1x at Disneyland (my neice got married and had a reception about 5 minutes away from DL) all in one year! (and that's why I am so broke now!) So this year, we avoided WDW. We went to Wash. DC and VA Beach, just something different.

Can you maybe move back your trip to WDW and give yourself some time to miss Disney again? If you do go next month, maybe you can do something different on this trip. Try something new or do it differently and hopefully this will get you excited again. Good luck.

One other cure is to take a "newbie". To see it all again through their eyes is awesome!!!

:thumbsup2 So true! I saw the look of awe on my DH's face when we went to Sea World in San Diego back in 2001 (my 4th time going overall) and I was 9 weeks pregnant. We both agreed that we would love to see our baby's face when taking him to Sea World. We now have that chance and I can't wait!

My DH has only experienced Epcot once 2 years ago during the F&WF and that was it (he was in Dis for a business conference). The conference was moved to Vegas last year and is now back in Dis (Yeah!) so we get to make a vacation out of it. I'm sooo looking forward to seeing my DH's and our DS4's face when they fully take in Disney World.

It's just like those MasterCard commercials....Seeing the face of your child at Disney World; priceless. "For everything else, there's MasterCard."

This is the perfect cure. My wife and I love WDW but, we LOVE showing it to someone for the first time.

I have a friend going with us in the first week of Dec. He said he always wanted to go as a kid, living in Ohio but his family couldn't afford it. Now he lives down here in SW Fla and is going with us and he's like a little kid already!

Because of this, I have found MYSELF more excited to go on this trip than probably any in the last few years.

We got at least 4 times a year as well, sometimes 5. Actually went 5 times last year, two in the early months, once in the summer, and two in November.

Still never get sick of it, I don't think I ever will. Maybe we're just lucky!!! :)
