I have just spent the morning on various websites, by messing around with dates and flight times I managed to find a quote for the HNY which was cheaper than our original quote for the Cheyenne, so I printed it off and took it the travel agents to see if they could match it. I knew that they would not be able to however I used this opportunity to ask for a low deposit and the travel agent agreed so I have booked 3 nights at the Hotel New York for the same price of the Cheyenne would of cost a week later. It will just be me and dd, and I can't wait to pick her up from school to tell her.

The best thing is we will be there for the celebrations!

Great news!!! :sunny: Isn't it even more wonderful when you get a bargain! :Pinkbounc

And regarding your addiction ~ you're in the right place for a fix! :wizard: :wizard:

Great news. :sunny: You're pixie dusted! Wish I could barter our Cheyenne stay for a HNY stay

Nice one :woohoo:

And don't forget, we are here to support you, however many times you go!!! ;)

Wow brilliant, have wanted to stay at New York for ages but have always had to go for the cheaper ones so good work!

Am trying to persuade my fiancée to go for New Years, but we're moving into our first house together in November so may not :(

Hi

Wow good for you. I am still trying to work out whether we will go in Nov. My dh said no, not because he doesnt want to go, but more because we simply can not afford it. My twin boys birthday on the 18 Nov and Caseys birthday on the 18 Dec. We are finding it a struggle. Also we are still paying off our holiday for NYC in March. Unless I can find it £100 cheaper my dh will not go. THere is no way we will get it any cheaper. I have already budgeted for a low cost holiday there anymore and wont be eating for three days.

Have a great time! Hope you can still come to the meet in June :woohoo:

As it just myself and dd we wont need to spend a lot of money on food.

we are going to NYC next year in september for my sisters 18th and I plan to eat Bagels, sandwiches, hot dogs and fries for the whole time, anything cheap.

We are staying at the Affinia Manhattan, and we are also flying with virgin however it means we have to get from Manchester to London as virgin don't fly from Manchester, though we are flying to LA as we are going to spend a few days at Disneyland first. Virgin Holidays booked everything for us, connecting flights, transfers. Its going to be a very busy trip as we will only be going for 10 nights in total.
I can't wait ether, my sister has always wanted to go to New York.

Hi

Oh wow you will have a great time. I would love to go to LA as well. I am jelous. Have a great time. We flew to Orlando with Virgin last year and were so impressed that I said it had to be Virgin to NYC. The entertainment was excellent and for once we liked plane food.

Have a good trip.
