If someone else has posted about this...I apologize.
So I've been looking on the net for cute Disney patterns to carve/sculpt a pumpkin. I was thinking it should jump out at me how I could make any image into a pattern. Some sites charge $25 + to convert your photos into a pattern. I think I've figured it out.
One I did at random.
So from what I can gather, to sculpt a design you make the wall where you are working about 1" thick on the inside, then...
Dark you leave thicker
Shaded areas you thin out from the outside of the pumpkin
Light areas you carve through so the light from inside will come all the way through.
So if any of my rambling makes sense LOL...I can do any photo into a photo like above and you can carve/sculpt your pumpkin.
