I'm not familiar with the new changes on the points charts. What's going on? This is starting to freak me out to as I have a trip planned for 2010 and have exactly the number of points I will need.

There are several other threads on this. Prepare to do a lot of reading though.

I did call MS yesterday and they did have 1 Savanna View studio available at Kidani, 3 savanna view at Jambo and "several" standard studios for our June dates. Downgrading from our value 1BR to a savanna view studio would free up the exact amount of points we would need. Since it will be DH's first trip to AKV, the savanna view studio is the one I would want, preferably at Kidani.

I was ready to make the switch, but then it occurred to me that with my luck, the points charts won't be made "official" until 2011 and I would have downgraded my trip for no reason. We've decided to wait until Monday and see what happens. If the studios are still available, then maybe we will switch at that time. If not, we have our backup plan. It certainly isn't ideal, but it isn't the end of the world.

Good luck to you all. We bought at the same time and I now how excited you were. I hope this works out so you will again be excited.
I think you should call tomorrow morning and get the AK studio, if those are gone, try OKW. It uses less points and with owning AKV, you will stay there alot.
We are taking in-laws in Dec and I know what great memories that will be. We went with them 14 years ago when our kids were 1, 5, and 7. Alot has changed at WDW and us since then!
