I sure hope someone else can learn from my HUGE mistake!!

Another stupid thing that makes you sick--I placed my wallet on the roof of the car while I cleaned out the front seat for my DH to sit. We got to the store and when I looked for my wallet, I couldn't remember if I had taken it off the roof. We jumped back in the car and drove back to the house, searching along the side of the road. It had all my ID's, credit cards, plus my Christmas money - over $400. I was absolutely sick at my stomach! (Luckily, we found it on the side of the road where we had made the first turn). But it took me hours to get my stomach to relax!

Thanks so much for the support everyone. I still feel horrible that I threw these away, but it makes me feel better (I guess) that I'm not alone & others have done the same type of things.

I'll send a little pixie dust to everyone that's lost things worse than just tickets into the parks. :wave2:

Oh that stinks! But like the other said, dont beat yourself up. There is nothing that can be done. Just be glad its not something irreplaceable.
DH once threw out a broken VCR, with a tape in it...the tape of everything about our DS starting with my baby shower and going up til probably after he turned 1. It was DS at only minutes old, all the holidays, all the milestones, etc... I was literally sick, and ready to kill DH. Luckily he was able to piece together most of it from old master tapes, but it was a nice heart attack for me.
Good luck, I hope those tickets do turn up somewhere.

of losing precious things really puts it all in perspective!! But just to add one more story..... on our last visit to WDW, on our last morning as we entered the MK..... we were going through the turnstile and I was putting in the tickets for each family member. After they were all through I realized that I was still on the outside and there were no more tickets in my hand! Somewhere between where security checks your bags and the turnstile I had dropped one parkhopper. I of course turned right around and walked back toward the security table...... I heard someone saying (to someone else) "Oh...you lost a ticket? I just gave one to that CM over there." The CM was already in the process of giving the ticket to the other person when I walked up and stated that I believed it was MY ticket! I had made copies of all the tickets, but of course the copies were back in my hotel room. Fortunately they could tell by the sequential numbers that corresponded with my family's PH tickets, that it was, indeed, my ticket. But imagine if I had hesitated one more minute! That person would have had my ticket (I suspected that they were a bit shady, but can't confirm). I suppose it wouldn't have been too big a deal, as we were using up the last day in the ticket that day. I would have only had to buy a one day/one park pass for myself. But the frustration factor alone...... OH well.. lesson learned.... keep copies of your ticket WITH YOU!.....

On my last trip to Disney Land I lost $80 in cash. I have no idea where. I checked Lost and found with no luck (one can hope). I guess I made someone's day. Oh well. I pretty sure that five years from now I will not even remember the lost money.

MELSMICE~~~

Been thinkin' about ya....any good chance of finding those hoppers??? I've been blessed to have never lost tickets. I keep an eye on them like you wouldn't believe while DH and I are at the parks. I'm constantly checking my fanny pack for them.

I'll send some more pixie dust your way.... *********************

:p :teeth:

Thanks Tiggerlover91, but no luck yet. :( I'll take all the pixie dust I can get. I'll sure be more careful from now on! ::yes::
