I am SOOOOOOO tempted to do the very same thing!! It's been a zoo around here lately - one problem after another - and I just want to get away from it all, but I know that my DD & her DH really need me here right now..

The in-laws were down in Florida for the past two weeks while everything was going to heck in a handbasket up here, but they're home now.. Maybe it's my turn to just fly the coop? I really wanted to get down there to see my sister and brother too - they're SO disappointed that I'm not coming - and I wanted to buy my AP so I would have it for next December (our family trip) and then Jan. thru March while I'm staying down there with my sister..

I have a feeling that opening this thread might just get me in some very hot water!!! LOL

This might not seem like a huge deal, but it is for me. I picked up the phone this morning, called Disney and made reservations for NEXT WEDNESDAY. Just one week from today! Then I hopped on airtran.com and bought a plane ticket!

I've been stressed out lately by things going on and I just decided on the drive to work this morning that I had it and I wanted to get away. I booked Pop (never stayed at a value there before) and with my AP made it a pretty cheap trip. I know it's going to be a zoo, but I don't care if I can just sit on the curb on Main Street eating ice cream and people watching for a week.

AND I'm not giving everyone a detailed itinerary and every way to contact me under the sun, in fact I'm not telling anyone I'm going to WDW. I'm only telling my nephew who is dogsitting and my sister in case of an emergency. Usually when I go the cell rings all day from work and family. AND I am not making dining plans and scheduling my days, I might eat dessert for dinner everyday.

I feel like such a rebel.

May I ask what you paid for your room? (You can PM me if you prefer..) I just zipped right over to the SW site to check on flights for the 25th to the 30th and I'm thinking I could get in some SERIOUS trouble from this thread.. Also - do you know if Mears or any of those places provide transportation late in the evening? If - and that's a BIG "if" - I decide to do this I would be arriving in Orlando around 10:10 pm..

I was reamed on my room rate, but since it was spur of the moment and busy time I just sucked it up. $128 a night, cough cough. Painful I know, but if I worried then I wouldn't be a real rebel.

I don't know about Mears, since I spent too much on the room I'm doing the Magical Express. (crossing my fingers it's ok)

I'm a short pudgy girl so if you see me plop on down. I have my green ribbon ready (never met a DISer at the parks yet) and my small photo luggage tag w/ Lily's pic on it on my camera bag. (I figure nobody will know who I am, but might recognize her)

You go Girl How exciting How awesome it is going to be for you to just walk down main street with no worries , by yourself, enjoying every moment. Stopping when you feel like it, sitting in a spot eating ice cream or popcorn just watching people go by. I love to people watch, I can do it all day. Ohhhhhhhh I am imaging it right now (I can pretend can't I? )

They didn't have any AP rates available for my stay. I couldn't even find anything other than the value and Saratoga Springs when I booked. I'm sure it'll be a complete zoo but who cares.

I tried looking for the first week in April, but there aren't any flights that I'm interested in (I'm too chicken to do anything but non-stop when traveling alone - LOL).. Can't push it off to May because it would be too humid for me and DD & her DH will be closing on the new house April 28th (I live with them part-time) so I'll be needed to help with the cleaning before moving, etc..

If you couldn't get any AP rates for your time range, I guess I better check before I take the plunge - huh?
