I started a Facebook Page, Now What?

I made a Facebook page about a month ago. I have friended a few people, but now I don't know what to do. I started it because so many people are on there, but I just have no clue about it at this point. I have requested to friend a few people here tonight, any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I do write on people's walls and post a few comments here and there, but that's about it.

I have friends on there that play a lot of the games and such on it...as for me...I just have fun writing on friends walls. A lot of my friends are people from work and we joke about what might have happen or what not.
Just have fun.

Welcome to FB, Kim!

It's a great way to waste a good chunk of time each day.

You can always search for old friends, coworkers, etc. just by typing their name in the Search box.

You can play games. Scramble, Pathwords, Who Has the Biggest Brain, and Word Challenge are my favorites. You can find them via the Search box as well.

There are all kinds of applications where you can send your friends "stuff" - Disney stuff, Twilight stuff, Drinks, etc. Soon, you'll start getting notifications from Mindy that she's sent you some kind of fish or plant

And, of course, my favorite FB addiction: FLAIR! Flair is similar to the buttons we wore on our jean jackets in the 80's. You have a corkboard that you display all your flair on, you can send flair to friends, you can make your own flair...it's a blast!

It is a good way to find DIS friends (and to be found by DIS friends because at heart we are all stalkers.)

I've been wondering the same thing! I set up an account awhile ago, although I don't have a picture yet. I have several friends, mostly nieces and nephews, and I am a member of the Dis group, but I can't seem to find any of you guys on it. One of these days I need to get a few pictures on there (I guess I need to TAKE some current pics). Let me know if you want to be friends! It would be cool to get to know a few of you a little more before we cruise!

My Facebook routine is to check in several times a day, update my status, check my friend's status, comment on anything my friends may have posted, write on walls if anyone is having a birthday, upload pics for my friends to see...basically nothing important but a good time-waster overall!!

Be sure to check and see if former classmates are on there. There are almost 80 from my high school class already.

I'm so glad you started this thread! I'm ashamed to say I thought Facebook was just mostly for teens, so I never even considered it. Then at the MacWorld Keynote today as Phil discussed that iPhoto will be able to upload to Facebook, I thought I ought to check it out. So...I created my first Facebook page today.

I did remember enough to join the DIS group, but that is about it. I have found a number of old friends from high school on it.

Don't be surprised to see a 'friend' request from me if you post your name!
