Same here. We have been 3 years in a row. In 2006 DH DD and me In 2007 DM DN me and DD IN 2008 it was just me and DD. It was the best trip ever. With the economy now my husband would serve me with divorce papers in DW As of now I think it will be another 2 years before we go again
We are going for the first time On thurs and i told my wife already that if we like it we are going back in Feb 10 with our 1 year old as she is not going this year. She is staying with my sister.
I can think on nothing I want more then for my family to go to Disney for just 1 week each year. We just can't make it happen. I feel ad every time my children ask me when we are going back and I have to tell them I don't know.
Who says you have to take 10 days? I can't tell where you live or your transportation needs, but a 4-5 night trip may be just the ticket Off season rates in the Values resorts are insane, and you could choose 2 of the 4 parks to concentrate on during the shorter trips. As long as your family really enjoys the time at WDW, there are definitely ways to economize. Just keep reading the boards and asking questions
We have been going every year or every year and a half. Due to the fact that my husband can not leave his business alone for too long, generally we go for five nights, and since we have seen everything in previous trips we dont feel the need to do everything in those five or six days. When my children got older, I would take them out of school a little early on a Tuesday, fly into Orlando that evening and come home on Sunday. Its a great vacation and for us, it is enough time. Every week I put away $40 towards our next trip and by the time it comes around to having to pay for it I have over $2000 saved. The kids help budget so that we can save, (such as less fast food drive thru visits, and less at birthdays). I always need to search for the cheepest airfare. Some people might think I am nuts for planning that way, and that maybe I shouldnt go every year, but it is a very special break for us.arty:
We have gone each year for the past 3 years. This year I got a 40% discount code, but we are not planning to go back this year. But I just can't see how I can let that code "go to waste" I want to go, but DH wants to take a break from it. I'm thinking about booking w/ the code, before it expires, and just cancel if I can't change his mind by then.
Is that too sneaky??
