I should know this...Platinum room changing question?!

Ok.... so I know if I want the adults traveling with us that are not Platinum to enjoy the Palo benefits there needs to be one of us in each room on the res.... is there a time though that I can switch people in the room and still get them into Palo with us or do we just need to keep everyone where they are at on the res?! I know I know this answer but it’s just not coming to me ugh!!

I don't know for sure, but I think they match up the reservation with the perk when you show up at Palo. If no one in a room is Platinum, there's no free meal.

It is easy enough just to leave them on the reservation and make extra blank KTTW cards for them to get into their 'correct' stateroom. (Of course, it made things easier for me on our last cruise that we had the same stateroom host for all of the staterooms so there was no issue with the tips going to the person who was maintaining the cabin that the people were actually in.)

I was thinking the same thing too.... the only reason I would even switch anyone is because except for my boyfriend and I everyone else has their cc down for their charges! I’ll figure it out.... thank you so much for your advice!!

In order to get the Palo benefits, a qualifying castaway club member must be booked into each stateroom. The only way to do that would to make or change the reservations so at least one Platinum CC person is in each room. At online check in you can have each person set up their own charging for credit cards or whatever. Once on board, you can get additional stateroom keys if you want to change sleeping arrangements. Guests will be required to use the muster station that they are assigned to per the reservation.

Honestly, seems like an awful amount of work to save $35 a person, but to each their own!

Except booking that way likely isn't only about the free meal perk. It also gives everyone access to the platinum booking window. That includes, but is not limited to, getting that Palo ressie in the first place. I assume switching things around after securing reservations/bookings would be OK, but personally I wouldn't bother. We've booked differently than we actually intended to sleep before and didn't find it to be a hassle at all.

Great points. Early check-in, excursion booking, tasting, and on board activities are also side benefits that weren't initially calculated in my response, but the original poster was concerned specifically about Palo, so which was my intent.

I do agree that booking differently than intended sleeping arrangements is really no hassle. Having to change reservations after the fact can be and might be subject to some change fees.
