I should have listen about Stitch !!!

What is so bad about the ride outside of the smell?

My 9 year old LOVES Stitch but he is easily scared. We never did AE because we heard of adults who were freaked by it. Last time we were at Disney my son didn't want to do Haunted Mansion - think we have him convinced to go on this year! :Pinkbounc

What exactly happens in the ride? Are the complaints that it is scary, lame, smelly or what? :confused3

"My nephews were so freaked out that they asked to get off before it ended. Luckily there was a CM who got them out."
Don't want to stand in a long line for that!

It's HORRIBLE. But we must all find out these things for ourselves.

I just can't imagine anyone not loving Dinosaur. My goodness...

maybe they did all that advertising to make up for what they couldn't do? :confused3

maybe they "heard" people becomming skeptical about the ride, or over heard people saying they didn't like it, and thought, "Well, this stinks...all those people are gonna go home and tell the people back home not to ride the ride." thinking maybe they wouldn't due to bad reviews, so they put together some snazzy signs to keep people flowing FOOLING those who haven't encountered SGE into "wow, jane must've been REAL wrong about that Stitich ride---if it was SO bad like she said why would they make such ELABORATE signs?!"

just a thought

I was in MK the day the Stitch ride opened. The line was so long that I decided not to go on it. I'm glad I didn't, but now I want to see what all the fuss is about, lol!

I rode AE with my brother years ago. I didn't think it was scary at all.

It really is not that bad. Not the best as stated above but not horrible.

That is just my opinion. :scratchin

First off....not to sound snooty...but IT'S NOT A RIDE people!!!!....you aren't riding anything...anywhere! Lets not mislead those wondering about this thing.

Second off....I really like Dinosaur...not the best but I like the animatronics, scare factor, and ride vehicles...it is a bit too heavy on pre-show though.

We just got back this week. My 4 year old loves Stitch also so I pretty much ignored all of the bad reviews kind of thinking that the people who didnt like it didnt understand that the Stitch character is unique in his own way and already kind of funny scary but my son was scared to death of this attraction. It wasnt even so much the darkness but because of the things they did while it was dark like blowing the smells on you, loud noise, and the shoulder harness pushing down. We just held his hand and tried to console him until it was over. Also, the ride/attraction really isnt even about Lilo and Stitch. They need to make it more similiar to the show so that kids can relate. If your child is hesitant about odd unexpected things happening to him while it is dark then I dont recommend it. It is pretty lame for adults but I now agree that it is not recommended for young children.

During our Oct/Nov trip, I was delighted to discover a line forming in front of Stitch. CMs were doing some early testing/training. I'd loved AE and couldn't wait to discover how this attraction had been modified to incorporate Stitch and become more kid friendly. Well, that was the only pleasure I derived from this experience. Right from the beginning, guests were herded (can we say Moooo?) into a roped-off area and then into the preshow room. The older CM, who was clearly in charge of training the others, literally shouted un-disney-like directions at guests and waved her radio at them. Then there was the "show"....Most of the great special effects from AE but enough remained of this attraction that I kept wondering, "Why did this have to close for so long to be re-habbed?" The noise and darkness were still too frightening for the large number of children in attendance. The final insult was the smell. It literally made me nauseous for a while afterwards. For the life of me, I cannot imagine what Disney imagineer hoped to achieve with the changes made here. While I'm sure my ds 12 will make a bee line to check out SGE, dh and I plan to sit out this attraction.
