I Should Be Happy But.......!!!!!

I was able to get some really good rates for 12/07. for a package with dining for WL CL and Poly CL. I wasn't planning on staying CL at these resorts but the 40% code rate ( offered in 02/07)was too good to pass up so of course I booked packages. I really love both theses resorts but I wasn't planning on staying CL but this was the only choice available at the time. The only resort I wanted to stay CL at was AKL (sunrise safari)which I booked in 01/07 with my AAA agent but have been unable to get any discount AAA or any other discount even though I call and check pretty often.I know they are doing the renovations but I know other people have gotten discounts.I know I should be happy but I think when you book a room a year ahead of time I think some sort of discount should come thru for you. I keep looking at switching my other reservations to try and get a discount for AKL CL but I couldn't get a better deal than I have at WL and Poly CL so I should just leave well enough alone and pay rack rate at AKL. AKL standard CL is not that expensive to begin with compared to other resorts but I really want a discount at AKL.Please tell me to just be happy with the great deals I got at Poly and WL and just pay rack rate at AKL.

The Poly and WL concierge share the same preplanners, and they are AWESOME. I've stayed CL both places and it is fantastic. Don't be upset, it is better to pay rack at AKL than at Poly!!!

Lots of people weren't offered the 40% so yes, be glad you got it and enjoy getting that great discount at two beautiful resorts! You can still do the sunrise safari as a CL level guest not s/a AKL if that was the important part of staying CL level there. Be sure to post a trip report- sounds like you have a fantastic vacation planned. ---Kathy
