....at the Providence Performing Arts Center....it was great!!

My DD saw it last year on Broadway - said Friday's performance was just as good.

Would you say it is good for younger children around 5/6? My co-worker saw it at the PPAC and said that it was great. I forgot to ask if it would be appropriate for my daughters.

We saw it at PPAC too and thought it was one of the top three shows we've ever seen. It was that good!!!

We've seen it twice on Broadway and saw it at PPAC a week ago. The cast as a whole was just as good as the Broadway casts we saw and several characters were even better. It is well worth seeing.

A 5 or 6 year old would be fine seeing this, it would help if they are very familiar with the Wizard of Oz movie because there are many lines that relate to that movie.

I LOVE that show! It's my favorite show on Broadway! I saw it 3 times in 3 months! I saw it twice with Idina Menzel (she's amazing!) and once with Shoshana Bean who is also very good! It's such a great show! I'm glad you liked it! :)

Crazy obsessed Wicked fan checking in! Glad you enjoyed it! :thumbsup2

I'm not too sure you can bring a 5 or 6 year old to the theater. We went in the afternoon in Boston and no one under 8 was allowed.

I agree with all of you I saw it in Boston, and NYC and will go again in October in Boston. LOVED IT!

I want to see this...I was thinking of taking my 13 year old daughter with me. Do you think it's a good idea?

I took my 5 and 7 yr old daughters to the Chicago production, and they loved it! My 2 yr old daughter even listens to the soundtrack and knows all the lyrics.

I saw it at PPAC too, a week and a half ago. Great night out!

I found it interesting how they "tweaked it" from the book - I have the 2nd book but haven't started it yet.

My 13 year old was dying to see this last summer. I took her, my ds 11 and my dd 9 to an afternoon matinee of the play. They all really liked it and the audience was filled with kids. The theater in Chicago also said no one under 8is allowed in the theater. Your daughter will love it!!!

Son of a Witch will disappoint you, more than likely. I'm a fan of the book and the show and I found SoaW to not have the charm and intrigue that Wicked did.

That being said, I've yet to see the show, but I listen to the soundtrack on a weekly basis. I do find the changes interesting, but I like them as well. I watched a video of one of the Broadway performances with Chenoweth and Menzel and wasn't sure how I felt about it for about five seconds after the BIG change occurred, but then I was crying, so I guess it's okay. :lmao:

Glad you enjoyed it. I am looking forward to seeing it in just about 3.5 months. I have had my ticket for over a year now and have slowly watched the countdown and I'm now 4 days shy of double digits.

My dds 6th grade class is going to see it on Broadway in June. I'm one of the chaperones:banana:

I saw it in Chicago & soooo want to go back.

My husband sat next to a young child, maybe 6 or 7, who seemed very bored & couldn't sit still. I think it depends on the child.
