Me and my wife used to watch the show all the time. Now I see her and I want to throw my remote at the TV. I understand she has a lot on her plate but damn, she is a freggin drama queen and her act gets realllllllllllly old quickly.

I actually had to stop watching Jon and Kate Plus 8 because I was getting so upset watching her interact with people. Now I'm not sure if it's just the pregnancy hormones right now or what, but dang.. I could/would never speak to anyone that way let alone my husband. But..hey..that's just me.

That's so cool that you saw them. I must say in Kate's defense, I have noticed that Jon is very rude & sarcastic to her too. Not sure why most people choose not to see that. I don't think it's one sided.

I watch the show and I believe they are from somewhere between Hershey and Reading PA. I started watching only because they are pretty local and I take my kids to many of the same area places...seasame place, Hershey, Dutch Wonderland etc. Never seen them in person but I am friends with a nurse from Reading and she knew nurses (Kate was a nurse) who said that what you see on tv is what you get. Nubby can't stand her but I don't mind her most of the time...LOL.

I'm a big fan of the show, and try to watch them when there are new episodes every Monday. I take Kate for what she's worth. I probably wouldn't be friends with her if I knew her, but I think their relationship obviously works or they never would have survived their circumstances.
I always wondered too how she acted to people in public. If my dd saw them, she would flip. She loves Cara and Mady, and I know she would want to talk to them.
I think tonight is the night they announce where they are moving to.

for the love of it all ..she is preggers AGAIN...well i guess when you put your family on national tv and use it as your payday WHY NOT...soon she'll be like that woman who has 18 kids AND btw has a show on the same channel.

I bet Kate is VERY nice to those who approach her! She takes the time to answer emails and post recipes etc of things she does with the kids ...

Haven't you guys who are bashing her heard of editing?? These TV shows edit to make for "good tv"... normal happy yippy yippy people doesn't make for "good" tv. I'm sure if a camera was always on you, they could show you in the same light as Kate

I agree with tam.. they show jon the same way and I"m not sure why people just focus on kate... however they also show them being very loving and courteous to one another. Just not as often because in the producer's minds it's not as "fun".

In fact I believe it was in an interview WAY back that Kate actually said she was upset with how editing made her look so mean. It was the next season they started making Jon look like the mean one!

Don't judge a family by what a 3rd source chooses to show you. Most of the time, the conversations and events don't even take place in the order you see....

Well, let me first say that I am a fan of the show and have probably seen every episode by now. I would be thrilled to see them out in public!

But, as soon as I found out how Kate treated her extended family, I really began to dislike her. They now have NO family and hardly any friends left in their lives. So sad, especially for the children who were so close to these people. It basically comes down to money and how she didn't want her brother and SIL to get paid a dime by TLC for letting them film in their house. Even though we have all seen that Aunt Jodi has gladly taken care of all 8 of them plus 3 of her own with no problem or was even paid! Supposedly TLC offered to pay Jodi for letting them tape in her home and for watching the kids all the time. Kate didn't like this and told TLC that no one gets paid for her kids but her and Jon. From what I have read she kicked Jodi out of their lives and TLC hired a babysitter for them. Jodi's sister has a blog and she was reporting some of this for Jodi but she has since taken everything relating to Jodi down. But if you google Jon and Kate plus 8 Aunt Jodi you can find out more info as well as the blog address.

Kate (minus Jon & the kids) was just at Barnes & Noble in the lifestyle center where I work 2 weeks ago. I thought it might be fun to go see her at her book signing - the line just to get a ticket with a number on it was winding through the parking lot by 7am - 12 hours before she was even scheduled to appear! So as much as people claim to hate her, she sure still has a huge following!

What town do they actually live in? We were in Pennsylvania yesterday at Chocolate World and our dd's were all excited because they had seen it on John and Kate.

They lived in Elizabethtown, which is about 15 minutes south of Hershey on the way to Lancaster. I believe they moved back to where Jon is originally from, Wyomissing in Berks County.

They are getting closer to me...

I do believe she is NOT preggo. I just watched a show over the holidays and she said there have been rumors going around and she said she is NOT pregnant. I am not sure how old that show was. It was one where they answer viewer emails.
