I am going to be honest and admit I didn't want to. I don't like the little troll...I mean Tom Cruise...and I thought MI 1 was just OK, and MI2 was dumb.
This one is better. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is EXCELLENT. He is 100 times the actor that TC is. The plot line is engaging and keeps your interest, and doesn't let you dwell on TC's inability to act. I can hardly look at TC bugging his eyes and pretending he's trying to control his emotions without laughing out loud. The action sequences are prettty good, and there were a couple of funny bits. This one has more of a sense of humor than MI2 by a mile.
My DH and DD#1 (14) thought is was great. If we hadn't just been through this year of TomKat overload (and remember I'm from Toledo, where new developements often lead the nighly news) and couch jumping, I probably would have liked it even more. I'm just so burned out on TC.
