I saw ball lightning last night

Great balls of fire! (well someone has to say it)

Last night we had some tornadic storms come through. After we came up from the basement, about 10:45, we looked out the window and saw a light hovering above the rooftops. Then it went away. Then several more apppeared and would move horizontal or zig-zag, and they disappear. We watched for 15 minutes and say 25-30 balls. Then I freaked and went and hid under the covers. Too spooky! They looked like UFOs!

BTW- no tornado here, more to the north, thank goodness!

I'm in Belton. Way cool to watch last night!

I haven't seen that much lighting in a long time. Good thing to have something to do since I shut down my puter to prevent a surge. I kept watching the news and counldn't decide to send my son to bed or head for the basement. UGH! I should have been packing!!!

I find lightning very beautiful to watch.

(I was always the kid too stubborn-- or stupid --to come inside when it was storming.)

It could have been balls of fire from the electrical lines. That happens if the lines are hit or coming down. It is an amazing sight to see. Glad your safe.

Holy Cow! That would be something. From what I understand, Ball Lightning is pretty unusual. I found this site that has many stories by people who also think they saw it.
