"When Clinton lied
nobody died"

Not trying to start anything. Just made me think. Still don't know who I'll vote for. I'm thinking of writing in Alan Keyes in case the senate seat does not work out for him.

Yesterday's headline in the Chicago Tribune read Obama holds 41-point lead over Keyes. In a recent Tribune poll, Obama has 65% of the vote, Keyes has 24% and other/undecided is 12%. I don't think the Senate race is going to work out for Keyes.

I think Keyes is hilarious. Every morning I read the paper to see what nutty thing he's come up with. My favorite so far was his position on reparations for slavery. He wants to give a 2 generation tax holiday. I'm not at all familiar with the arguments for or against reparations, and hope this thread doesn't turn into a discussion about them, but what cracked me up was Keyes contention that, since these decendants of slaves weren't paying taxes, they would be willing to work for less money, so employers could pay them less. Yes, that's the ticket, legitimize paying African Americans less money than their white peers!

I saw one that said:

"Clinton screwed one interm
Bush is screwing us all"

I love bumper stickers....we have one in MA that says

"When I don't go to work, I don't get paid. Why are we paying John Kerry?"

I have to admit that I'm too superficial about my car to put any bumper stickers on it.

Oh....and I was flipping through the channels this weekend and I came across Discovery Times. They had a series on the presidents called Commander in Chief. I didn't watch any of them (I was watching Soap Net....you can see how interested I am), but on Clinton's they had the preview caption that said he deployed troops more times than any president in the past 50 years. Maybe it's because I was in high school and college during his presidency and didn't care about politics, but I never knew that. You learn something new every day from flipping through random stations.

I want to write my own name in for President. I'm too young, but I think I could win. The first thing I'd do when in office is make it a violation of the Labor Laws to make your employees work past noon on Fridays. :teeth:
