So, quick question...has anyone else been on the Disney buses and the driver CM started a round of Boom-Chicka-Boom? I had never even heard of this song prior to that trip, but at 11:30 at night after a LONG day and a bus packed-full, that song was exactly what we all needed! This was years ago, and to this day my family will randomly break out ..."I said a Boom-Chick-a-Boom...Uh huh! Oh, yeah!"

Sounds like fun. I only know of a childrens book called "Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom" that's a favorite among the elementary school kids about either the alphabet or numbers, can't remember at the moment.

I have never had that happen at Disney but we always sang this on field trip buses in high school, at pep rallies, and football games.

We had this driver twice during our trip last February and it was great - was hoping to get him again when we were down a week ago but didn't. There are some fantastic bus drivers who really get into the Disney spirit!

No, not that, but I remember back around 10 years ago we had several funny bus drivers! I think some of them may have perfromed over at DTD. Now they barely even acknowledge you...oh well.

Love that Bus Driver!

We were the only ones on the bus to Epcot form OKW one night..our local city bus has a commercial on the radio, encouraging bus travel..we modified the words a little, it's a catchy little tune!...we sang right back to him:

"We got a limo that's 40 feet long..
We got a chauffeur who won't steer us wrong..
Driving at Disney is better than it ever was..
We're taking it easy, 'cause we takin' the BUS!"

He loved it..I think we gave him a Magical Moment!

I haven't had that bus driver, but we did have a bus driver from AK who had the whole bus sing Happy Birthday to all of the kids. Since it was the last bus of the day for AK, when we got back to the resort, the bus driver let all of the parents take pictures of their kids in the drivers seat. It's one of my sons' favorite pictures.

Then on our last trip this Oct, we went to MNSSHP on the 27th. We left the park a little after midnight. My son and I were the only two people in line. We waited about 10 minutes for others, but they never showed up, so my son and I had the whole bus to ourselves. So anyway, we had been celebrating my sons' birthday that day with breakfast at CRT, so I had made him a shirt that said he was a prince and it was his birthday. The bus driver made the comment that it was now a royal bus and changed the marquee on the bus to read "VIP Cast Member". He was such a nice guy, I wish I would have gotten his name to write to Disney about. Needless to say that my son was in heaven. And people wonder why we go back to Disney every year for vacation.

We had that bus driver. It was at night also. It made the bus ride back a lot more fun and it seemed a lot shorter of a trip. I wish I could remember the drivers name. I would send a note saying what a great job he did.

We haven't had that bus driver but we have had several who definately enjoyed what they were doing. Some of the boat captains are also quite entertaining.

On one trip back after the late Hoop-Dee-Do, taking the bus, our driver got us all singing to "Bottles of beer on the wall" Real treat cause most of the people on that run were "alittle under the weather" and all joined in for a great bus ride. We all thanked the driver for the added "magic"!

YES! we were coming home from fantasmic on our first night at wdw and we are packed in like sardines and out of no where "I SAID A BOOM CHICKA BOOM!" IT was sooooo much fun and we called up disney when we got back and gave the driver's name and how great he was.

I give those guys/gals credit. So above their job ...especially when many people/kids are cranky from a long hard day at the parks....

In Nov this year after closing out MVMCP, we were headed back to OKW with just about a dozen folks on the bus. when 'Deeelores" bright-eyed & bushy tailed led us all in Zippa de doo dah & It's A Small World ( I am afraid of that ride but Deeelores even got me singing that little ditty), & a great sing-a-long!
She really livened up some very sleepy kids & exhausted adults!
I told her she was the perfect ending to a perfect Disney day!
and that she was indeed!

Boom-Chicka-Boom is just a silly thing to do with kids. You yell it and they repeat it. You get quieter or louder, you can do it "with soul" or "country-style," or however you want.

There are a million songs to sing and have kids repeat. More drivers ought to hop on the sing-along bus, so to speak.
