I rode DD in the rain !!!!!

We were next in line (after making no line at all) when it started down pouring this past Saturday for DD. Needless to say we had to wait for about an hour for the ride to start up again and we rode in the last row !!! What an experience not only was the last row awesome, you got to feel all the twists and turns with much more power but we were soaked at the end of the ride. My DS was able to ride again without even getting off, no wait lines !!

Been there, done that, except it was only lightly drizzling when the ride started, got to the top and it was POURING!! It hurt too!! Hundreds and pins and needles.

I'm not doing that again, I make sure the weather is clear.

Did that in a light drizzle once, it hurt & felt good at same time. I swear both dragons were faster too.

Just did that yesterday on Apollo's Chariot in Williamsburg. It wasn't raining when we got in line but it was POURING when we went up the first big hill. We got very, very soaked. DS kept saying, you don't get wet because the rain just bounces off of you. Ya right. It took a long time get get rid of that bouncing rain.

Did Hulk in the rain last Thursday, was not a drizzle but a Steady Rain, Hurt like heck. Good ride though sort of had to keep your head down.

I've also done Dueling Dragons in the rain, in the front row.
Hand to squint my eyes because I didn't want to loose my contacts.
At least we don't get the grease bath like Raptor at Cedar Point. If you look up at wheels, you'll notice a plastic covering under the wheels, with tubes going down the sides of each row. This catches the water (mixed with grease) and sends it down.
