Okay, maybe roasted isn't exactly right. More like slow cooked it in my crock-pot. But, I finished. The whole 26.2. My first marathon. :goodvibes

I talked to a friend who asked me how I was feeling. I replied..."From the waist up, or from the waist down?!"

FYI I am talking about the Flying Pig marathon here in Cincinnati

Congratulations!!

DH and I ran the Pig too, I ran the half and he ran the full. It was my 3rd time running it and I still think it's an incredibly hard course, but so beautiful and it has the best crowd support.

Start making plans for the Flying Pig 2010, it's on 5/2. :thumbsup2

Good job Christine. That isn't exactly a flat, first marathon friendly course. It is on my list of the Ohio half marathon tour I am doing. Cleveland, Columbus, and Akron down, Cincy and the Air Force full or half at WPAFB is all that's left (well, of the big ones).

Congrats Christine!!! Pig is on our calendar for 2010.

Thanks, everybody. And, yeah...definately NOT flat! Even as a walker it was tough. I can't imagine running it!!!

I am not sure if I will do it again next year. I did enjoy the crowd support. Maybe I will move on to another OH marathon...

The closest one to you is probably the Air Force. I haven't done it yet but it looks like a lot of fun.

I did that one last year, and it was nice. Parts of the course can be brutal (bright sunny day & running along a runway make a bad combination), but the F-22 flyover at the start, the crowd support and the pasta feed in the museum were all great.
