I resigned my job!

I worked in a GED center, working with adults who wanted to get their GED, so I had to know Math, Reading Writing, Social Studies, and Science. I loved the work, but there was a change in administration about 6 months ago, and the new administration has made things increasingly difficult. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back when the administration went back on a promise to me, without so much as an apology or explanation. I loved my students, and I think I did a real good job with them. But the administration has made me feel like "Instead of firing her so we can hire our friends, let's made things so difficult for her she quits." Well, today they won. (Can I hear a "I Fought the Law and the Law won", can't remember who sang that song). I feel so sad, and DH won't be home until Thursday nite to talk to, so thanks, everyone, for letting me cry a little.

I'm so sorry. I am in the same situation. I went back to work from maternity leave and I am being treated so poorly that I am ready to quit. I know that my boss will (probably) not fire me because then he would have the whole unemployment issue to deal with, so I believe that he is making my life difficult so I will quit. I have decided that next time I am treated badly and unprofessionally I plan to quit on the spot. I have other things I can do. Now if I just have the nerve to do it when it happens.
