I'm so excited! We're going in December and staying at the Coronado springs hotel.

My son will be turning 3 on the trip. He has Mitochondrial disease and is in a wheelchair and on o2. I want to learn a little more about accessibility and stuff, mainly with the o2, before we go. And how easy is it to use the buses and lifts to get to the monorails?

But mainly I just wanted to share my excitement with you guys! :yay:

Hi and :welcome: to both DisBoards and disABILITIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #3 will be a good source of information about oxygen and Post #4 has lots of information about Disney Transportation.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

On your trip plans!! :woohoo: I love to share excitement with those who are going!!

I can't answer questions as to O2 but read the FAQ's and you'll get lots of answers!

Welcome!! Congrats on the WDW trip, DBF and I will be there in December too. It is a magical time of year there, we love it. The busses and the monorails are accessible, DBF is in a power wheelchair and we don't have any problems.

I am excited for you. Have you ever been to WDW?

My 5 year old drives power wheels and we haven't had any problems in DW or on the transportation. We sometimes have to get out of the monorail and ask for the ramp but it never has been a problem. We haven't had problems when taking the bus either. Sometimes people get aggravated b/c Emma gets loaded first before the other passengers. Even if we haven't been waiting very long, we get loaded first.

Have fun.

Amy

Congrats on the trip to WDW. We love CSR and it is a great resort. Don't forget to call the medical request line after you get your ressie and get a room that is located best for you.
