I can remember when we used to get 3 and 4 for a cent & a bag of lollies worth 10 cents was full to overflowing.

Oh, I hate this thread! It makes me feel so old!! Sad thing about is, I remember!! LOL

Least with the emails, it's mostly, MY MOM! hahahaha

I member getting baseball cards that actually had the stick of gum in them, and I remember going to the store with returned pop bottles and getting the juice, those wax bottles that you bit the top off of to get the juice out of. Remember turning them upside down and sucking every last drop of juice out of them? I also member the penny little red fishies? These were my personal favorites, and the gum that you blew out of that made smoke like a REAL cigarette. How about the fake gums made of wax (did these have teeth too?) that tasted so yummy, but you had to eventually spit them out? Or the fake harmonicas made the same way? LIFE'S TOO SHORT!!

Our store was run by Elizabeth. Her and her sister would always give out half a sub (or hoagie known today) on Halloween! Boy, did we love going there! In those days, you could even eat the caramel apple given by the Baldwin Sisters.
