it doesn't say Disney Vacation Club member on it. I went through the link on the DVC member website to apply. I thought this would automatically let them know. I guess not. It really doesn't matter to me as long as I'm not missing out on any special benefits. The only difference between the cards is one says "DVC" and mine doesn't, right?

Are there any DVC benefits with this card that I'm unaware of? If not, I'll just keep this one.

Thanks!

You might want to double-check. I didn't notice my 'Disney Vacation Club' designation right away because it is part of the print used to put my name on the card (not a special logo), like this:

Joe Member
Disney Vacation Club

To answer your question, I have not seen or heard of any special considerations in the card program that are reserved for DVC members. I think the designation on the card was just another carrot, like the 'Day 1' print.

When I called for mine the agent had a hard time finding the code to use and she said if the card did not have it when it arrived to call and they would send another that did say it. Ours is almost worn off. :teeth:

I used the link from the DVC member site,. It arrived today without DVC on it. I think I'll give them a call.

UPDATE!!!

I received another card today-- this one says "Disney Vacation Club" at the bottom.

There was also a note telling me to destroy the first one I received because the wording was incorrect! And I never even called to tell them!

So those of you that applied through the web site that didn't get DVC on your card--watch your mail. You may get a new card soon!

When I applied for my card, I didn't realize you needed to put a "code" on the online application to get the DVC on your card so when I received my card and it read Charter Cardmember I called Bank One and asked them if it really mattered or if it was just words on the card. They told me that Charter Cardmembers and DVC members will get different offers with the DVC members getting offers geared toward DVC while Charter Cardmembers would get offers geared toward general Disney. They told me to re-apply and gave me a code to use and when I received my new card to call them and have the first card merged into my new card. Well, low and behold, I did as told and when the new card arrived it also said Charter Cardmember. I spoke yesterday to member services at Bank One and they were reprocessing a new card for me with DVC on it. It's been a long process just to get the correct type of offers from this card!

I didn't realize there should've been a code either.

I didn't take the time to call Bank One and let them know that this wasn't the correct card. They just sent me the correct one. I guess they figured if I've applied through the DVC web site then obviously I would want a DVC Visa card. Hopefully, they'll get yours straightened out soon! Good luck!!

I think there may be some problems in processing all the applications they recieved.
We got a letter two days after recieving our cards (they were printed correctly) saying that we may recieve a letter denying us a card, that it was a mistake and that we should disregard any such letter.
Sounds like there's some confusion...
