I can never find any good prices what am I doing wrong?

HI, can you you PM me the same information you sent a previous poster regarding finding good prices for the Royal Pacific Resort? Thanks

Can you just post the info and share with all of us? :-)

One of the ways to get a good price is (and I hope this is still an option since it has been awhile) is to buy the entertainment book. The book membership card will qualify you for lower rates which you can ask for when you call.

Looking forward.. There is no entertainment rate anymore at Universial Hotels.

The best way to get a good rate is to buy one AP But if you are only going during holiday breaks, you will not find a "good rate" at any of the Universal hotels.

Keep in mind.. Universal is not like disney, where each day is the same price for a group of dates. There rates seem to be different for each day. AP rates usually come up a month before the dates.

I ended up paying $159 per night at HRH in October.

Wow, I am behind the times. The AP rates are good. I now live in Florida so I usually book FLorida resident rates which are good too, if you can get them. Hope the OP poster finds a decent rate and enjoys the resorts, they are great.

I have the current 2006 Entertainment book. There are 4 Universal coupons.
1. $7 in Universal Scrip with each 2-day/2-park admission.
2. $10 in Universal Scrip with each 3-day/2-park admission.
3. Free Meal and Movie pass.
4. Vacation Offer. Save $50 on any vacation of 4-5 nights or $100 on any vacation of 6 nights or more.

Meal and movie pass is nice. I didn't hear about anyone using the hotel offer last year. Most people used the AAA code, and then checked the APH rates as they became available. If the APH rate was lower, they called and got the better rate.

There used to be amazing deals with the entertainment book but those deals don't exist anymore. AAA and annual pass rates seem to be the best rates around. That is, unless you are fortunate enough to get the resident rates.

The best rates are available at off-season times.

I would love some information as well. When I called about AAA rates for our dates in May they said they weren't available. Do these rates come out later or are they already gone?

how do you find out what the APH rates are? Do you need to call or is there a website?

Also when I checked out the rates to buy an AP there were 2 different ones. Would you be able to buy the cheaper one and still qualify for the discounted APH rate.

OK one more question. Do resident rates apply to all Florida residents or is it the residents of Orlando. We have a friend that lives in Fort Lauderdale and was wondering if they could purchase the tickets for us.

Thanks
Bill

disneyfanforever...when I called and asked for AAA rates for our june trip thru the hotel, they said they werent available, but when I booked thru AAA's website they were. They hold some aside I think. :sunny:
