First, thank you all for all your support and pixie dust in regard to my skyauction Silver Lakes fiasco, BUT I knew something better would come our way :teeth:

We just won a two bedroom (silver lake was one) villa at Polynesian Isles for 7 nights for $285 including everything! Not too shabby huh! I am so psyched! We have never stayed at a villa before so it should be fun! I guess I need to change my signature now, huh? LOL :cheer2:

So, any info on these villas would be appreciated. Thanks and here's to our offsite visit! :disrocks:

Wow...way to go.... see it was meant to be. I am sure you will enjoy yourself. That seems pretty cheap too for there. I have seen it go for much higher.... $285 including the $195 & $15 fee's...you did get a great deal :sunny: :sunny:

the ready set go auctions are the best value for the dollar...

supposedly the villas at the isles have been under going renovations by sunterra, (although it is thought that you share the washer/dryer with another unit....not sure about that )

the villas there have a large footprint as far as square footage goes...

we are staying there in november

polynesian isles just started showing up on skyauction on ready set go within the last couple months..

congrats, i remember my first time trying ot decide if i would actually try it or not and it was the posts from these boards that gave me confidence that the site was legit and it was the best thing i could have done.

Same here, HappyLawyer(btw, my DH is a HappyLawyer :) ). I would have never tried something like that without this board.

I'm so happy for you, Emme. Tell us all about it when you come back.

The only advise I can give is you will want to request a first or second floor since there are no elevators and it is three floors.

Could you take pictures for us?? I don't know how to do any of that. I keep saying I'm going to have to learn for my trip to Bryan's Spanish cove this NOv. :teeth:

Thanks everyone! Yes sharon, I thought it was pretty good deal as well. My bid was accepted at $75. I will get all the info I can on the Polynesian Isles.

Just FYI I saw the Polynesian Isles on Hotel Kingdom and they wanted $140.00 a night for the two bedroom for my time frame :scared1:

In January of 2003 we did indeed share a washer/dryer unit with one other unit. Not a huge deal really, and much better than paying to do the wash.

Emme,

I forgot to ask................Did you win a "Ready,Set,Go" auction or an auction that was just for Polynesian Isles??

There is an auction right now for PI and it's already over $150!! Sounds like you got a great deal. :cool1:

you got a great deal - the reviews on tug have not been many - but they gave this place really good reviews

here is a website
http://www.sunterra.com/resorts/regions/resort.asp?resort_code=PIR&region=florida#

It is small so it does not have the activities of a larger resort like Sheraton's Vistana Resort.

but I think you will be happy there.

I haven't look for it - but I think you are closer to the 535 shortcut than the Sherberth road one.

Good luck, hope you didn't use skyauction, if you did, maybe you won't get screwed over like the others.... have a nice trip

We've used Skyauction a few times and have never been "screwed"...

Good for you Emme!!! From what I've read about Polynesian Isles I would definitely consider staying here and you got an awesome deal! Hope you guys have a great trip! :flower:

dooley - who got screwed over - if Skyauction can't get you what you want then they refund the money - or you can put it aside to bid on another property - your choice - not there.

I don't think anyone got screwed over by Skyauction. :confused3

Mine was a specific auction for Poly Isles for the one date of 6/17-6/24, it was not a ready set go auction.

It does look pretty there and we really don't need a lot of activities as we spend most of our time in the parks :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Emme, you should be happy then. those are my favorite (and only ones) to bid on - no guess work or more time involved in the decision. :cool1: :flower:
