Thanks to all your help in planning my first trip back to DL in 9 years. We leave tomorrow morning and it's not soon enough as everything that has gone wrong in the last 24 hours has gone wrong. I really NEED to get to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Any last minute packing tips? I just read the thread about how hot it will be this weekend and that the EE times have been extended for Monday and Tuesday. Does that mean we should plan to arrive around 8 AM? Any other last minute news I may have missed?

Wish me luck and thanks again for all the help!

Have a fantastic time PJ!

At CA near Soarin there is a great place to stand and be misted so keep that in mind if it gets too hot! There is also a place with water to walk through in Bug's Land. It's rough when it gets so hot! Don't feel badly spending afternoons at the pool. :)

I don't have any great advice but wanted to tell you that I hope you have a great time. Plan on buying a sunhat as soon as you get there and wear your sunblock!

The gates to the park open 1/2 hour before posted time. Get in line 1/2 hour before that! Also... if you can - do Goofy's kitchen one morning for breakfast - it's so much fun!

I so know how you feel. The past week or so has been horriable, the only thing that is keeping me going is that we're going to Disneyland in 17 days. Everytime I think I'm going to loose it I just think about how many days we have to go and how much fun we are going to have once we get there.

Have fun! Only 17 more days and I will get my Disney break too. :Pinkbounc

Thanks to all!

Our arrival did not go smoothly at all - new limo driver didn't know how to get to Grand Californian, WDTC package wasn't right upon check-in, clueless guest services cast member at GC, sent all over the place with luggage to talk to different people who also said they had no authority, room not available when told, etc. We understand that different offices/cast members handle different issues, but what really upset us is how so many cats members seem to be passing the buck instead of trying to solve the problems. When we have had issues at WDW, we are used to cast members either getting on the phone to the right people or finding a manager/person of authority to help instead of making us do all the legwork. It wasn't until after 3 hours and lots of legwork hauling luggage through DTD, back and forth from GC and Guest Services until we finally found someone who said he would make it right. NOT a happy way to start my b-day trip.

On the flip side, finally found some cast members who understand what the Disney spirit is all about so two thumbs WAY up to Jason and Mandy at the GC, Sandy at DL Guest Services, and Michael, Tina, and Jessica at DCA Guest Relations. I ended the day with a smile and that's all that counts!
