I like all of the designs on here, but I need to know what you can design for a family of 14 going together. There will be a couple of men going and they are not wanting anything too sissy they said. However, most of the designs are not really showing that many people. So my question is, would that even be do-able? Also, somewhere on the shirts we would like for it to say something about my mom. She is the one who paid for all of us to go on this trip in January and she got killed in a car wreck about 2 months ago. We kinda wanted to say something about her on all of the shirts too. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks so much! Some of you have already responded to a post that I posted earlier in the week, but I was just trying to get a few more ideas. Thanks!
first, for everyone wondering if they posted to your other thread already,
here's the link.
ok so I didn't see that one so here's my thoughts. First, sorry to hear about your mom. In a way, you might consider this upcoming trip a tribute to her.
This past May we were a party of 20! It was DH's 80th bday and I wanted to make it special... FOR EVERYONE. So we took the kids & grandkids to Disney. It was a first visit for 2 out of 4 grandkids which makes it even more memorable I'm sure. (What a cool grandfather - taking the kids to Disney for HIS birthday! My goal was to give them a gift that will last a lifetime - memories of their cool granddad celebrating his brithday with them in a place that kids think is cool! I think I achieved that goal!
I made tees for DH b'day with the theme "It's Incredible - Bill's 80." Everyone had tees made with "some" version of the Incredibles. The guys wore Mr. Incredible, the grands wore the boy Incredible, the couples wore Mr/Mrs. I etc. And some folks wouldn't wear it - didn't like the color yellow, maybe didn't think everyone else would, whatever. I never made it a requirement - wear it if you want. Those that wanted to did.
Another day we went to DAK. Everyone had Mickey head tees ironed on the front of the shirt and a DAK design ironed on the back. DH's shirt said, "Today's my birthday" written on top of the DAK design on the back so folks behind him could come up to him and say, Happy B'day. I got comments that I should've written it on the front for people walking toward us. Ok lesson learned if I wanted more exposure for him. (He had a b'day button on so they did see that from the front.) For DAK, DH had a CAMOFLAUGE (sp) Mickey head (with his name in Hunter Orange). He thought the camo was macho! lol. I had a purple leopard MH with my name on it - complete with a white bow.
For dinners out, I bought DH & BIL golf shirts and added a small design to the breast pocket area. They loved those shirts (but they were more money to buy of course that's why I only did those shirts for those I ABSOLUTELY KNEW would wear them).
A few of examples for ya to ponder over and then I'd suggest you go to the designers' photobuckets and see what catches your eye. (You'll know it when you see it I bet.)

BTW, what was your mom's name? What did the folks that are going with you call her (besides mom)? Perhaps by posting that someone can creatively think of something special to add to the shirts.
Good luck!
