Hey everyone! I guess I'll do a quick introduction... My name is Jill im 26 yrs old and I work in the human services field with adults who have developmental and physical disabilities... My job is high stress and constantly fast paced ( I deal with a lot of physically aggressive so I am always running or ducking)
I've tried diets and exercise programs before I always do so well for a while but then I lose my motivation.... I haven't read any one elses journals I figured I would just dive in so I dont actually know how other people are writting theirs... Today is Saturday June 21st I quit smoking today (or at least I have gotten through today with out a cig) and tomorrow I am starting my diet and exercise again. From what I have heard most people gain weight when they quit smoking because to make up for the oral sensation of having a cig in their mouth they eat well I will only eat fruits and veggies and I am hoping to defy the odds by not gaining any weight but rather loose weight....

Today I walked a mile, it took me 35 minutes.

Tomorrow I will weigh myself (something I have not done in a long time) and I will come up with my desired weight and I will look down and see my feet again!!:banana:

well done on attempting to quit smoking i hope you succeed with that.
take one day at a time & before you know it you will be feeling great :)
looks like were at WDW around the same time too :) (we're at POP 4th - 19th August)

So the goal was to post at least once a week if not more. Sunday I bought a Wii Fit and have been using it both today and sunday... Last week when i posted I still hadn't set my weight loss goal my ultimate goal is 60 pounds my focused goal will be 20 pounds in 2 months so by september 1st I will be 20 pounds lighter!:cool1:

Here is my exercise plan: work up to 45-60 minutes a day on the wii fit on the weekends I plan on walking 2 miles a day (saturday and sunday unless I have a day off) so a mile in the morning and a mile in the afternoon.

I'm absolutely horrible with dieting so that will be my biggest challenges. Fruits and vegetables are my friends but portion control is not. I am hoping that by drinking tons and tons of water my appetite will not be so bad.
