Oh, I am SOOO guilty! I usually know about things that are going on before others around me do b/c I read them here before they are on the local news! And sometimes, if someone has a problem or needs advice on something specific, I say to them "I know someone who can help!" thinking of someone here that I know would have the answer!! (It makes me look like I know a lot of people! )

guilty, with casual friends I will just say friends of mine said, instead of I read on the Disboards. With close friends I will say a Disney board on the internet, and with family I say the Disboards.

But I've said, "I read it on the DIS board discussion forum" to most of my friends so often that now I just say, "I read that......"
They would not understand about DIS boards and just think that I'm becoming some kind of wierd internet groupie, which I am, but I don't want them to know that!!

I'm guilty too. My DH just looks at me with that look of don't say it, I know where you read that. But, he's always amazed at what I learn here.
