I'm a wreck about our upcoming vacation in... 10 days. We're staying at the Dolphin (1st time there) and I'm anxious.
Our son is turning 5 on our last day there. The lucky boy has spent every birthday but his 4th at Disney!
Anyway, I really really really want to get a good room at the Dolphin, with fireworks views if possible. (We also have 5 month old boys who will probably have an early-ish bedtime).

Someone mentioned that I should FAX a request to the Dolphin, rather than burdening the staff with a phone call during such a busy week.
We booked through DreamsRES. Should I have them be the pesty ones???
I did sign up as a Starwood Preferred Guest, but this will be my first trip, so I don't expect any special favors for that.

What do you all recommend? I'm... all ears. Get it?



I can't wait to get there so I can stop agonizing about every detail. We've been there..... 16 times in the past five years, I think. You'd guess I'd be more confident, right? These darn babies have totally rocked me to the core!

PS - It took me forever to figure out the whole SigDelt sorority thing.... They'd better not let me on Mission Space. A rocket scientist I am NOT!

RELAX! You're going to Disney World! There are a few things you may want to do.
1. Use the form on the Swandolphin.com website. There is a form there for special requests.

2. You can nicely ask at check-in in your nicest sweetest voice!

3. You can have DU add it to your reservation. No matter what, have them add your spg number to your reservation as that will allow you to gain points on this trip.

Others might have more/different ideas, but regardless you're going to have a great time!

tddalton - I ditto all that hockeymom recommended. And you do sound like a perfect sorority sister - we have lost our minds and still can't find them - perhaps we left them at the S/D since our hearts are there.

Thanks for the advice. I did sent a request via the S/D website. I never received a reply, but that's okay. I will give DreamRES my Starwood number. It can't hurt....

I am so excited, I could die. My sister and her husband are staying at the Beach Club Villas from 12/26 through 1/3, so we'll be walking distance from each other for four of our days. (Plus we'll have access to their washer and dryer to do the babies' stuff!)

I am really looking forward to staying at the Dolphin. The boys like to move, so I can really walk them to both MGM and EPCOT and hopefully get them to nap where it's a little quieter. I have big plans for those babies. Zack is actually going to get his first haircut on Main Street. (He was born with a ton of hair, and people keep thinking he's a girl....)

Our turning-five year old has led the life. With the exception of this past summer and fall, he has been to Disney every three months of his precious life. My parents had a vacation home in Kissimmee that they sold this spring. I fully expect the twins to feel completely slighted for the rest of their lives because they won't be at Disney as often as our oldest. Oh well...

But Zack will at least get his first haircut on Main Street, just as my oldest did. And I'm trying to work a July vacation so the boys can have their first birthday at Disney, too. (Don't even get me started on how wonderful breakfast at Chef Mickey was for his first birthday party....)

I'm trying to be a "go with the flow" kind of mom regarding this trip. But for that to happen, I need to have myself ready for whichever kind of "flow" comes our way!
