Does anyone know anything about these? Its on the Christmas List! Details about the ipod, where to find a good deal, any info would be great!!! Thanks!:santa:

DS17 asked for one too. I posted about that a few weeks ago and got good information. There really aren't "deals" on these, they are what they are unfortunately. You can probably get a refurbished one but I don't know that I would go that route in our case. I looked into getting the IPhone instead since he wouldn't have to carry around 2 devices but we have Verizon and no IPhone with them. We decided to get him the Motorola Droid instead-same type of deal as an IPhone, same features, but works with Verizon.

Today yoiu can get from $21 to $41 off depending on what model you get. This offer is available on the apple website and in their stores. And by the way, the iTouch is awesome.

Like the pp said, they're on sale right now from the Apple store online. I finally gave in and got one for my dd. Got free engraving on the back too! Not big savings, but good enough for me to justify it. It will be her christmas and birthday present, since her bd is only 2 days after christmas.

I just ordered one. My son has one and i'm always asking to play with his. I'm using my Friday Night Lights money to pay for it. So, on the back I had "Clear eyes full hearts can't lose" engraved!! I can't wait!!

I have the older version. I LOVE IT!!! Its perfect for downloading popular apps!

Amazon has it without the sales tax at the apple store price. preferaby dont engrave as it brings down the resale/tradein value later

I just bought a 8 gb Ipod Touch (gift for Christmas) at Target this morning - Nov 29th. It's on"sale" for $195 plus you get a $15 Target Gift Card with purchase. I was able to use a 10% off on Ipod coupon that I got in the mail Friday from Target plus a $15 Target gift card for a purchase over $150. So for a 8gb, I got $19.50 off, a total of $30 in Target Gift Cards, plus $5 off the original price - for a total savings of $54.50. Better than any Black Friday deal I saw.

By the way - I have a 32g Ipod Touch, and I LOVE it. I've been having fun checking out all the features. This weekend, the Apple Store is running some special deals - and I was able to purchase some games for 99 cents. You can share these games with up to 5 devices.

Walmart had it over the Thanksigiving weekend...$195 and it came with a $50 ITunes card. Im not sure if the sale will continue into this week??

Can you identify this 10% off coupon? Was in in the ad/circular with the "$15 off any purchase over $150" card on the back? Or did it come in an envelope? Any identifying info would be appreciated. I need to locate it.

We blew off trying to get a Nintendo DS for DD on Black Friday. I was not going to try and fight the crowds to save no more than $30. On the night of BF, she announced she is going to ask Santa for an iTouch instead of a DS. :headache: Had I known that, I could have gotten one on BF.

It seems the only 16 GB ones around are the older ones, and there are no deals on them. I don't know if an 8 GB is "big enough" but a 32 gb seems like overkill. Any thoughts from those who bought them for their kids? :confused3

The 10% off Ipod coupon was in a Target mailer (small catalog) that I received in the mail on Friday. Yes - the $15 off $150 purchase coupon was on the back. There are 3 (?) pages of coupons toward the back of the catalog.

You can also find the 10% off Ipod coupon at Target.com

Here's a link:
http://offers.e-centives.com/mcp/pd...H31DkRj79yzb+SNmiA400O BmnS5K0e6cYTtzrdUNC2#

If that link doesn't work, on the front page of Target.com at the bottom of the screen under "Target Stores" click on Grocery Coupons. On the left side of the screen, under Coupon Categories, click on Electronics. The Ipod coupon is on the second page of the Electonics coupons.

I hope this helps!:wizard:

In my opinion, the 8gb is powerful enough for kids. In fact, that's the one that I bought my middle schooler. The price is also more acceptable to me. (The 32g was more than I was willing to pay for my 13 year old - and I know he will be thrilled with the 8g).

I got a refurbished 16g for ds11 - it was $199, not that much more than the 8g on sale, and I've bought many refurbished apple products with great success. Stupid question - ds11 also wants to get some apps - would an itunes gc be able to purchase some?

Well, even as I write Amazon has the 8GB Ipod touch for sale for $158.00. Go to Amazon.com, hit the "today's deals' button, and look on left side of screen.

Well when my 8 year old dd asked me for one of these I.... :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:. I think she got the idea I thought she was too young.

Now for me.... thats another thought entirely.

Please be aware tho that this is not the current generation but the second. You have to pay an additional charge to upgrade the software.
