I-Pod Touch Deals Last Year?

Does anyone remember, what were the I-Pod Touch deals from last year's Christmas season? I am trying to get a feel for what could be coming up for this year and when/where is going to be the best time to buy.

I saw that Toysrus has a GC deal this week, but at $225, I know I can get a better deal somewhere else.

If I remember right, about the only time you get a price break is when you buy refurbished on the Apple site. The only deals you get at other places is gift cards. They do give you a little off at places like Sams and Costco, but its not a huge savings.

The 8G ipod touch is 204.99 on Amazon. You may want to wait - Apple is having an annoucement this week, the next generation is coming.

Apple prices are very tightly controlled, so no, you may not be able to get a better deal somewhere else.

Check the Apple site for refurbished, if you don't want to pay full price for brand new.

I have bought three on Woot.com over the past year and a half. Two were $129 (this was for the 3rd generation model when it was the current generation with an MSRP of $199) and one was $149.
