Thats it. Do you like it is it worth the money?

Definitley worth it! My DW gave me one for christmas and i cant put it down. I havent touched my laptop in a week. It is great for internet and the battery life is amazing. My only complaint is that it doesnt support flash, so some of the websites will not work on it. However, it does have alot of features and new apps are rolled out every day. I still odnt have any books for it, but all of the popular news publications are rolling out IPAD specific news media for it (nytimes, etc).

On a related note, I plan on using the ipad when we travel, including camping, to access basic information, read, watch movies, etc. I have the 3g equipped model, so wifi is not required (i.e. certain campgrounds/hotels). It is great for accessing information while on the road. It is so compact, easy to store, and the battery life is unbelievable.

Feel free to pm with any questions and ill try to help. Craigslist also had a ton of them for sale in my area, but most were wifi only. Also, the android tablets are slowly coming out as well, and they are a little cheaper.

I will say this, I have yet to meet a person that has an ipad and doesnt like it...just my .02!

Good luck!

I love mine, hardly use the net book now. Works good when I cruise since the ships all have wifi.
so many apps so little time, my nephew loves it I have some learning apps for him to play with

I have the wifi only model since I have the iPhone for 3G needs.

I paid,, YES, I paid dearly for our vacation,,is it worth it, every penny or I wouldn't keep coming back.

You did mean to say "paid", right?

The I-Pad came out a week after I got my Kindle. It's neat - but all I would use it for would be reading, so IMHO it's not worth the extra money. I just "played" with one last week at Wal-Mart. I found it uncomfortably large and cumbersome to hold. All in all, I'm glad I bought the Kindle.

Love, love, love my iPad!

Love it!

I use it all the time.

"Padding" is now a verb in our family. I bought it when it first came out and I can't imagine not having it now!

I usually don't get this way about stuff. I was at an electronics store a couple of weeks ago talking to a salesperson about them. I was looking for a camera connection kit for the iPad, and he asked about it. My boyfriend laughed after about 10 minutes of my iPad sales pitch...to a salesman. HAHAHAHA I was trying to convince him that he should get one!

I try to convince everyone.

I don't know anyone that has one who doesn't share at least some of my love and excitement for it. :rotfl:

I don't own one and probably never will being as the iPod touch I've owned for over a year now, I still can't figure out. However, a couple of my "more intelligent" friends have the iPad and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.

I'm sure that didn't help you in the least. Sorry. :)

If you want it mainly for e reading I think the kindle is probably the better choice, I much prefer the iPad for the wide range of use it gives me, I don't do a whole lot of e book reading, I do wish there were more digital magazines available though.

The Ipad is better, as you can look at porn on it.

I personally can't see it being worth it since it costs almost as much as my 17" screen laptop did back in May and for 3G service the 2GB plan is like $25/mo and I already have unlimited grandfathered Verizon 3G service for $60/mo. I also like the ability to Download things like TurboTax and other apps such as updating my Harmony One remote, creating my custom Garmin Nuvi POI files and loading them into my GPS and use things like my WP software and being able to print out whatever I need.

Like another poster I had enough problems learning most the the ins and outs of the IPOD our son got DW for her B'day and don't need to learn another system or electronic gadget to worry about or carry/keep track of.

I'm dreading the day I have to exercise my every two year new thing for our phones on out circa 2005 phones that have no video capability, don't talk to me or are smarter than I am. I wouldn't know the first thing about texting, twittering, blogging, facebooking and don't care to even go there.

I got my wife an I-ron for Christmas. She loves it.

17" is a waste of monitor space. It's not the size that matters, it's how you read it.

Bummer about Facebook, though. I was going to be your first friend request.
